Mitel systems on the Internet with telnet open.
« on: August 09, 2017, 07:01:44 PM »
I was doing some security research with shodan.io and searched for "SX-2000 port:23".

The are systems open to the Internet. Even is the system password has been changed, telnet still has a default login.

Please don't plug your Mitel directly into the Internet!

I would agree that it is unwise to  open all ports to a system. I don;t think many are that stupid tp do so, there is the option on some controllers to use another nic to route off the assigned network and provides pptp access if desired
