Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / multiple music on hold files
« on: October 28, 2012, 01:42:48 PM »
Hi, has anyone managed to setup multiple music on hold files?
as in, a call comes in, reception transfers to an extension and a specific music on hold plays, this could be advertising or relevant to a department etc...
i have the idea of using RAD greetings and external music on hold.

thanks

Depends what ur running, Mas or vMas?
For Mas, yes two nics, for vMas no only a single nic required.

Hi, thanks all for ther info, so I was able to send myself and email which is my new bad habit,
I found that there were still a few port ranges blocked on the firewall. It seems to work now.
Thanks to all

Hi Jack,

we ran into the same scenario with msl 9.x, we installed the msl and could not install all the blades from the cd, we literally had to license the msl software and log into the console and install the blades from there.
there is a tab that says BLADES.
just be sure of the configuration of all IP addresses and FQDN on installation as there are known issues with changing this after the initial setup.

Hope this helps

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Outlook and click to dial via Mitel
« on: October 21, 2012, 12:08:43 PM »
Hi Mark,
we have experienced the same question,
the answer i got from mitel is that 'click to dial' requires Mas server and unified communicator advanced, while unified communicator express provides search to dial.

i hope this is useful.

Mitel Software Applications / Mitel MAS welcome emails not delivered
« on: October 02, 2012, 01:55:18 PM »
Hi everyone,

i have tried my hand at a mas setup, with the following info...
i have a domain xxx.local with an ip range 192.168.1.1 - 100 for pc users with dhcp ( email server resides here)
i have a mitel 3300 running in the later range of 192.168.1.101 - 200 outside the domain with sip router as gateway

ok so my server ( dell optiplex) has msl 9x  installed with a lan ip of 192.168.1.105 and gateway of the sip router, the wan ip is 10.0.0.1
which is my DMZ.
extra info, neither the icp or mas can send emails successfully....

what would prevent my welcome and voicemail emails from going through to recipients???? would i need to add them to the domain?
any ideas?
