I just can't believe that Mitel does not offer a better way to integrate the phone system to MSCRM?   Either the 5000 is getting phased out at Mitel to not care about adding features or they think Microsoft CRM is not a big enough product to develop for.   I doubt the latter.

Yes, the Xarious was expensive and then I still need to buy the other software to pop up the contact from CRM.   Looks like I might have to see about upgrading the 5000 to the 3300 to get the Ingenius software to work again.

Thanks.

We purchased our Mitel 5000 system in 2012 with the MSCRM addon from Ingenius.  Less than a year after having the system, Ingenius informed us they are no longer developing their MSCRM with the 5000.  I have asked our reseller to find something else that will work and the only thing she has found is Xarious.  However, that product is built to compete with the UCA we have now.  All I am wanting is a screen pop that starts a call activity in MSCRM when a call comes in.

I know there are several third party applications for MSCRM (like MSCRM-ADDON), but they tell me they need a TAPI driver to hook into the phone system.  I can't find that driver for the 5000.  I have heard a rumor that Mitel is developing there own, but when?  I need something to replace the system I have now so that I can upgrade the phone system and MSCRM.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply.   I think if I could get the Secondary Extension to ring for Internal calls, that would solve everything.   What settings should I look at to make that work?  I go in and set the button to Secondary Extension and then select 1 on the Ring When.  It works when I call my DID number from my cell, it does not work when I call from another extension in the office.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / How to Cover another Extension?
« on: November 28, 2012, 09:41:34 AM »
I am trying to have my extension ring two other extensions at the same time when I get both an internal and external call.  (Similar to the Avaya system we had that allowed us to assign a button called Cover).  We first set the two covering extensions as Secondary Extensions, however that would only ring for outside calls and not internal calls.  Can Secondary Extensions be set to ring for Internal Calls?

Our second attempt of fixing this was to set a forward path to a hunt group that would ring all calls.  This works when you don't have the Dynamic Extension turned on for the phone.  However, I keep Dynamic Ext turned on in my phone so that when I change my UCA to twin, it will work.

Any ideas?

We have the Mitel 5000 and use IP phones 5330.

I have two Call Keys and one IC key.  That is three.  Why Five?  Why even three if I have those keys on my phone anyway.  Just seems like they could program UCA to know it is repetitive.

Why does my UCA (5.0.27) show my deskphone and my cell phone for twinning 5 times under communications in UCA.  It also shows when you right click the UCA icon in the desktop tray.  How can I lower that to one for each?

I have this working my UCA Mobile.  Once I pick Officelink, I get two choices under "Call Using" - Deskphone or Twin.   You might have to have your Twinned number setup in the UCA and the Phone system itself under the Assoicated Destinations.  We just installed the Mitel 5000 system and when trying to figure out the twinning, we discovered the phone system and UCA have to agree on the treatement of a call before it will do what you want.  ie, twin.

Hope this helps.
