Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Make Caller ID Disappear

It seems simple enough but I must be missing something.  As per the Help File I even verified that the "Non-Prime Public Network Identity" was set to "Yes."  I set the directory number field to the extension that I want to change, selected CPN Substitution and then set the Associated Number field to the number that I want to appear, tried using a four digit and ten digit number.  However when I place the call from the extension, the DID still appears on the caller ID.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Make Caller ID Disappear
« on: January 22, 2013, 08:51:46 AM »
I am trying to remove the caller id on certain DID lines for outgoing calls.  Whenever a non-DID extension makes an outgoing call a generic caller id appears.  Is it possible to program a DID extension so that it too shows a generic number on an outbound call?  I know where to perform this task on a global basis (all or nothing) but do not know if it is possible by using C.O.S. or something similar.

Thank you.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Multi Line Appearances
« on: November 13, 2012, 11:04:39 AM »
I need assistance with trying to get a phone routed in a multicall type scenario.  Here is the situation.

 - A user requested a new extension.  I changed it from 1111 to 2222 (the numbers have been changed for purposes of this post).
 - She then wanted her old number (1111) so that it would ring to her assistant (7777).  The assistant would have the ability to answer the call or it could go to the assistant’s voice mail.
 - I routed 1111 to assistant's extension using a system speed call.
 - Everything is working up to this point but the final piece of the puzzle is that the person with extension 2222 also want the ability to answer extension 1111 if she wants.  I tried using a multi-call for 1111 on extension 2222 but when I try to add it, the MCD responds that the extension is in use elsewhere.
- The assistant also wants the ability to know which line is ringing in.  If I used the speed call it just shows up on the primary line of extension 7777.

My question is, can this be done and if so, what is the best practice for doing so?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Exchange Voice Mail Caller ID
« on: August 20, 2012, 02:08:14 PM »
We are running a Mitel ICP3300 release level 5.0 PR1, software load 11.0.0.105_1, Microsoft Exchange 2010 for email and voicemail, Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Mitel Live Business Gateway 3.3.0.7.  The issue that we are having and have had since day one is that when we receive a voice mail message or a missed call the call is recorded in the email as follows:  for voice mail:  Voice Mail from [EXT#]@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX where XXX= the IP address of the ICP3300.  For a missed call it reads:  Missed call from [EXT#]@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX.

What we are trying to accomplish the folowing:

1) Get rid of the ip address off of the voicemail and missed call caller ID line
2) Associate the extension number with the name of the caller.

I have searched everywhere and cannot see where the IP address is being added from.  Secondly I do not understand why it is not picking up the name of the caller from either the Telephone Directory within the 3300 or from the MS Outlook contact llist.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
