Hii everyone,

How are you?

We are facing a very strange problem here. There is a Scheduling hunt group such that extensions in Supervisor group can silently monitor each other and extensions in Members receive inbound calls.

Ext 1117 can monitor everyone in the list but not Ext 1256.  Same with Ext 1256 which can monitor everyone in the list except Ext 1117.

Can someone direct me where may be the issue?

I was successfully able to make a conference call from a 8602 inter tel softphone by placing call 1 on hold and dialing another call to conference and so on.

When I am already in a conference call, is it possible to add the incoming / waiting call to conference using a softphone?

Do I need to edit any settings in Mitel 5000 DB?

Any help is appreciated.

Hii everyone,

We are using Inter tel 8602 softphone.  Every thing seems to be working fine.  There is a minor issue we are facing.
When we install softphone, for the first time it asks for configuration settings like "Device ID", IP, etc. and the softphone works fine after that.

Now the problem I am facing is:

Once the settings are configured for the first time, I am unable to change the settings for the softphone. 

The Advance settings for the softphone is grayed out with the warning message " Changing the advanced settings may cause the 8602 to become inoperable"

However, this is not something that I get everytime or for every user.  I am able to edit the settings for most of them but for some of the users I need to reinstall the app to change the configuration.

Can anyone tell me what may be the reason that is disabling the advance settings once configured.

OS : Win XP, Win 7

Hii all,

Can someone tell me if inter-tel 8602 softphone application is available for Macintosh systems?  Or is there is any alternative to install softphone on MAC systems?

All the phone systems receive SYS ALARM #28 VM : VM APP SYNC FAIL message / error on the phone / sofrphone.  How to get rid of this?  Please recommend

To clear this error message for entire network:  dial 9851 on the phone.
But I need to fix it permanently. 

Following steps were recommended some time back by Mitel which ain't working anymore.

 A) Email Gateway:
                    1) Email address - Recommend - voicemail@xyz.com
                    2) Email real name- Recommend - voicemail
                    3) Email SMTP server - must be DNS name for SMTPserver not in IP form
                    4) Email username - Recommend - voicemail 
                    5) Gateway password - The password for the voicemail account - Reccommend - voicemail

B) IP Settings:     
                     1) Base server Hostname - Mitel5000 Must resolve to 10.41.1.xx
                     2) DNS search list must be an IP address for the DNS server not finicity.com
                     3) PLEASE Check the primary/secondary IP for the DNS

Hii. .. well, this is my first post on mitel forum.  Please help me figure out the couple of issues I am facing. 

Scenario :

I have an extension eg: 1306 configured on Inter-tel softphone 8602.

Forwarding path is set to hunt group( ext. 2304) unlike all other extensions whose forwarding path is set to voice mail (ext. 2500).

For some reason if somebody tries to forward a call to me, if I don't pick
up within a ring or two it will forward it to the other users / schedulers and
shows it as being forwarded by me.
Is there's a way to fix this, since it is causing people to think that I am calling them when I am not.

After getting help through google, I found something

It was set to "No" , I changed it to "Yes".

Currently I am not able to test and someone else will be using that extension for a week or so.
What specific actions needs to be taken here? Am I correct in changing Fwd call type?

Other issue is ::::::

There is no mailbox created for my extension (1306).
When I tried to create a mailbox, by right clicking >> selecting "Create associated mailbox"
I cannot see my extension (1306) in the list so that I can associate it. 
So can't create it.

I cannot see my extension (1306x) so that I can select it.  (x denotes to be free/unused extension)

so my question is >> Can we create a mailbox for already existing extension?


Please help me with this.  Thanks in advance !!

btw,  these extensions are not created by me. I was told to administer the Mitel DB recently. so. ..I cam still a newbie.
