If you're using a conventionial headset (not Mitel integrated headset) pressing 317 puts the phone in headset mode (or back out).  In that mode, you go off-hook to answer or make calls by pressing the speaker key.  Speakerphone is not usable while in headset mode.

Thanks, when i press 317 it instantly says INVALID and a long beep

Hi all,

I'm having trouble accessing the headset on the 5212 series.

I've plugged the headset into the back and tried the code 317 (i believe) but my phone just says invalid and gives the long dialling tone.

Any ideas?

Right, ok.

I think all i need to do now is delete the phone as the keys are deleted, but as stated before, the option you asked me to look for wasn't there. it seems like we're so close yet so far - and now i have an added problem with the user in question not knowing if someone's calling her direct, or calling the line we now want to cancel.

Also - It's ringing on one persons phone as said before, but it's not coming through on button 4(9 from the bottom) on the phone anymore, it's coming through as if someone were calling them directly.

Not sure if that's any help

I didn't get an error, the button i believe was 204, it has removed it and is now saying "Not assigned"

Hi Ralph, I've cleared it for all the users, but it still rings one persons phone. Fine on the rest of ours though

Under Multiline Key Assignment, there's a section entitled Softkeys, i've found the label that matches the number i want to get rid of, the line type is multi call, but i don't see any way to delete it, unless i'm missing something

Any way of updating?

I've found the key assignment, there's an option to "clear" would that be what i'm looking for?

I can't see Multiline IP phone assignment on the list.... Would some screen shots perhaps help your memory?

Bluewhite: I don't i'm afraid!

Ralph: I think it's a phone, not a line, as it comes through on the same number with the last 3 digits being different, if that's any help
