Hello, Does anyone know if you can shorten the sequence from when you first say the name so it doesn't repeat it back and speed up the process of putting the call through?

Hello, I have a cluster of ISS mcd5.0 running using sip lines. When a supervisor wishes to listen into the agent they enter the code and start monitoring the call. If the agent then puts the internal call on hold and then dials out  to an external number the monitoring supervisor stays with the internal call. If they clear down the monitor and launch it again they get silence until the agent returns to the internal call. Has anyone come across this and have any ideas? I have been looking into COS options for both the users and trunks but haven't hit on a winning combination yet.

We found using the 6000 that you had to upgrade it to the latest software to enable a 3 way conversation. This may be dependent on when you bought it and who from but the 7000 series we bought at the same time worked straight out of the box where the 6000 has been nothing but trouble with it working for a short while and then not being able to get a dial tone before having to reload the software from the ftp site on boot. We currently have a ticket with  Polycom open.

Hello, I have a customer complaining on the delay you have to wait after entering the password. Its vnupoint and we are using 6 digit extensions and 4 digit passwords. The delay as if it's waiting for digits to timeout is there any way of adjusting this?

Thanks for all your replies. It turns out you  have a 5 digit limit for extensions and port programming. It does point this out when you goto add a HCI reroute but will let you add a 6 digit (thats how all our sites are configured) number in the line config form ALL day long then lose it on the save.

I've now amended my programming by portioning off a small range of our numbers and making the HCI group local directory only and adding the route in the ARS tables on the cluster and it's now working.

It looks like you will need to create the superkey by accessing it through the desktop tool if you have an account set up or asking your maintainer to log in and programme the keys up for you.

Programming up a headset key also helps with this as if it is lit you have to press the relevant line key to answer the call. Additionally a lot of our agents weren't aware you can start and end a call by pressing the small silver moon on the headset itself.

Hello,
I've just installed a vnupoint running alongside an MCD5.0SP1 ISS. I've followed the instructions where you have to mount the iso whilst in the shell and created a vm hunt gp with two vm extensions and an hci reroute. When I go to  edit the extensions in the line group and make the config active the two extensions I programmed disappear. From the maint command on the 3300 the two extensions show out of service. Any one able to show me the error of my ways?

We like it but unfortunately our call recording equipment doesn't. We originally disabled it using the src but there's now an addcodec command available where you add it to take it out? This is on MCD 5.0 SP1.

I'm liking the bit where your in the dropdown for the forms and you type the first few letters and it takes you there..also help has a handy little pdf link to the manual at the top.

Remote busy lamps. If you are on mcd 5.0 try typing rem and it should take yu to the form you want.
