Is there anyone out there that is using LBN to route 911.
Here's what we have. We have 3 gateways and 2 virtual MCDs for a total of 5 systems. 1 of the vMCD’s has all the users(IP phones) on it and then there are 3 gateways that handle the dial tone out of the 3 different buildings.
We are trying to use LBN to route IP sets local to their own buildings for 911. I just think I'm not completely understanding the flow of the LBN. I understand the default prefix under the LBN # cannot be used in this instance because all the phones are in the vMCD. What I'm having problems with is to get it to recognize the network zone properly with the LBN prefix in it, or should I say program it correctly.
We'll use gtw1=100,gtw2= 200, gtw 3=300 for the Example:
911 is designated in the LBN form, no prefix defined.
Network Zone form has 3 gateways programmed with the.
zone id: 100 Time zone:central/us LBN prefix:1009
zone id: 200 Time zone:central/us LBN prefix:2009
zone id: 300 Time zone:central/us LBN prefix:3009
All other information left empty in the Network Zone form.
I would then program the station attributes form for extension 1200 to have a zone id of 100.
The dial string should look like this if they dialed 911: 1009911.
Whats happening is I can't get the system to route out the proper gateway through the network zone form. It seem to always sends it out the same one.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
