This is the same thing we found. No matter what we put in AD, we couldn't get it to dial the internal extensions...always wanted to dial outside the PBX (area code+exchange_number)...this was not acceptable as every call made from the Lync interface was an external (toll) call. Has anyone figured this out?

Mitel Software Applications / MAS 4.0.223.0 pegging processor
« on: February 20, 2013, 10:48:18 AM »
I upgraded to MAS 4.0.223.0 from 4.0.113.0 last month. Everything has been fine. Until yesterday. At about 9:35am, the processor on the MAS server went to 100% and stayed there. I rebooted the MAS and it went down. This morning, the same thing happened. I rebooted it today, and it immediately went back to 100%. I have stopped the individual blades of MCA and Mobile Communicator and that has no affect. So how do I troubleshoot this?? With the processor pegged, dialing into voice mail sounds like a horrible cell phone call. Help! I have ruled out any issues with the VMWare ESXi host and our SAN that the machine runs on. The MAS server has 4.5GB of RAM and 2 virtual procs. Thanks!! At this point, I am thinking about reverting back to 4.0.113.0.

Thanks so much. Not sure how I missed that. But I got it working fine on the Outlook 2010 32-bit. No luck, as you stated, with the Outlook 64-bit, which really stinks, because we've rolled out 64-bit Office to 90% of our org. UGHH!! Trying to find out now when 64-bit support will come.

Any idea on the dialing from the GAL in Outlook? Again, I can dial from personal contacts while in Outlook. Maybe this is something that can't be done...but what I what to be able to do is open an email message from someone in my organization, and right click on their name and dial them.

Again, appreciate the help!

Hello. We have a new Mitel MCD installation with UCA. We added the users to the UCA server via the PBX synch and currently have no synch enabled going forward. UCA works OK currently - for chatting, making and receiving calls, visual voice mail, etc.

However, we are missing the ability to dial from the GAL in Outlook (Server 2008 R2 AD domain w/ Exchange 2007.) I can dial my personal contacts from the contacts list using UCA. We also don't see presence updates in Outlook like we used to with Microsoft Communicator (which we are dumping for the Mitel UCA.) My question is: Do we need to set up the LDAP synch in order for this functionality to work? We have been fighting this issue a couple of weeks, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
