Try putting the card in a different slot. Possibly swapping the card for another one.
Have you recently added any new licenses, such as fax or compression?

Have a look in the Multiline Set Key Assignment and make sure that those keys are programmed against the hot desking agent rather than the phone.

If you FTP onto the 3300 (Use Filezilla or something similar) you should be able to find the TFTP folder on there. From memory I believe the files the phones use are something like "L2_Boot_xxxxx". Where the xxxx is 53xx, Navigator etc..

If the files aren't there then it looks like you've got a corrupted version of software. Download another, backup your db, do a fresh install with your new software, restore and try again.

[EDIT]: Or get someone to send you the healthy L2 files so you can stick them in the TFTP folder...

There's a kb on mol about vlan settings and 53xx phones on MCD 5.
Try removing the vlan and priority settings from DHCP option 125 and give the phone a boot.

Failing that.. Reboot the phone, hold the down arrow wait for it to present you options. Move through the options till you get to static network settings. Assign the gateway, ICP, and TFTP settings.. you can leave the tftp port blank or set it to 69, I think it's 69 anyway.

No! .. Was the answer.

Only form mismatches screw it up.

Chaps. Got a question...

I'm upgrading two 3300s currently sitting at MCD 4.0 SP4. I've run the form comparison for my tel dir.. I'm getting some mismatches back, an example of one would be something like;

Record (Name:Phone 1, Number:3963, Prime Name:No)  only exists on Sys_02

Thing is, it's in the RDN with the primary and secondary CEID referencing the correct 3300s and it's also in the Tel dir of both switches... as "Internal".

Slightly confused here. Will this cause an issue when I migrate to RDN?

I'm working on a system with a DSP alarm right now. You can try executing a "Show status dsp" from the 3300 maint command.

Or Putty onto the box an issue a "DumpDspBootInfo".

Could be that the module has failed to load. Have a look at what the logs are saying during the time it booted up.

Advanced Task killer seems to kill it pretty dead.
