Problem solved: The new recorded message wasn't confirmed through the admin voicemailbox. When a newly recorded message is not confirmed it is heard on all the announcements until the message is confirmed.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Voicemail greeting issue, help needed
« on: September 27, 2012, 03:58:00 AM »
Environment: Mitel 3300Mxe controller with voicemail which is used for announcements and ivr menu.

To record an alternative message we use the integrated voicemailnumber 820 in our case. A free greeting number has been selected and re-recorded. The problem is when i call the integrated voicemail system and choose to listen a recorded announcement i get the newly recorded message, on -every- port i choose.

To make it even stranger, when i directly call the voicemail port on the mitel to listen to the announcement i get the -old- announcement. (for instance extension 805 which has greeting number 5 attached which has been re-recorded)

What am i missing?

Thanks for your reply.

We would like to route the calls to the external party in case of a queue, so whenever our internal agents are busy answering acd calls, calls should be routed to the external party.

From the help:
Predictive Overflow

Predictive overflow determines whether a newly-queued call to an agent skill group should be immediately overflowed or sent to the next agent skill group. The average call duration is based on the average agent talk time, including the work timer. If the system predicts that a call will not be answered before the overflow timer expires, the system places the call in overflow before the timer expires.

Can we use something like this?

Is it possible to overflow an ACD queue to an external number? In the case of a queue we would like to route it to an external party. (preferably not time-based, we are already using an interflow timer)

We are using a MXE 3300 MCD 4.0 SP1

Wow, quick reply's. Thanks for that!

There is no need to listen in to the alarm notification. A trigger to some stations is enough.

What we tried today is to program a headset button and an emergency button. There isn't a headset connected to the ip station. When you first activate the headset option and then the alarm button there isn't a dial tone.
Is there a way to build some kind of macro to combine these to functions?

We turned on the Executive busy override function. This gives the user the option to override te dnd function.

I would like to program a silent alarm button on a 5330 Ip phone. The button should ring other 5330 IP phones in different departments.
Programming a button that triggers a huntgroup with some stations in it is not a problem, but the alarm button should be silent. When I press the button I (logically) get a dial tone. This is what I need to avoid.

Thanx for your fast reply!

about 10-12.
There should be a forward on busy (but first to colleagues in the same room then to the secretary and last but not least the attendant), but also an immediate forward when the user is away from his/her desk. We use the dnd function to activate the immediate forward to the ringgroup.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Ringgroup station limit
« on: June 18, 2010, 01:31:17 PM »
There is a max limit of 8 times a station is allowed to be added in a ringgroup.
Every station in our office has it's own ringgroup. We have two larger departments with a secretary who is also a member of the ringgroup (last member, we have cascading ringgroups).

The problem is the secretary should be added to more than eight ringgroups. Does anybody know a solution for this?

I understand the dnd function, and that it make's the phone busy.
Our company rules state that an external call must be answered within 30 seconds. That's why we need a trigger to alternative colleagues in case of absence. We someone leaves the office dnd is activated. This is the trigger to a ringgroup.

Because of this situation internal calls get the busy tone when the phone is on dnd. Internal calls to the station in dnd should be picked-up via the call-pickup button on the other phone.

(In the past we had an Avaya pbx where the send all calls button did the routing of external calls in case of absence. Internal calls still rang at the station where sac was activated.
We are looking for a similar solution as the send all calls button)

The busy/dnd int. is configured as Normal at the moment.

Thanks for your quick reply!
When I change the action for busy/dnd Int to This the internal call is routed to the alternative mentioned in the directory number. In our case it's a cascaded ringgroup. Is my assumption correct?

My goal is not to reroute internal calls to alternatives.

When colleagues leave their office they activate the dnd option. External calls to the station in dnd are routed to colleagues in the same departement. The last alternative in the routing is the attendant.
This situation works fine for external calls. But when dnd is activated internal calls can't be placed to the station in dnd.

The station in dnd should ring for internal calls, and shouldn't follow the alternative paths. Is this possible?
