Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Adjusting the Display Contrast and Brightness on 5320e from washout

The instruction is clear enough in the manual.  Unfortunately, I can't find an example display that tells me which buttons to push when my screen is all washed out to begin with.  When I push the blue menu button, I can't tell where to go from there.
