How to redirect 'failed transfers' where transferred to ext doesn't answer back to orginal operator to let the caller know person is busy. Currently the caller can be retrieved during transfer but if the call rerouting timer elapses they are sent to voicemail.

I can see options for 'Allow Recall after Transfer' and 'No Answer Recall Timer' in the class of service form. From reading the description it appears to be the correct setting to allow this, however it doesn't make a difference. Does anyone know why?

Allow recall after transfer: Yes
No Answer Recall Timer: 17
Call Rerouting Timer: 18

Thanks

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SMDR Extended Reporting Level 1

I have set 'SMDR Extended Reporting Level 1' to 'Yes' in System Properties > System Feature Settings > SMDR Options including all prequesite settings. I would expect this to change the output of 'logs re smdr' to show unanswered calls on the system but it doesn't.

I find it useful sometimes if a user has been left a voicemail that didnt contain any contact information, I can look at the time of the message and find the number that was redirected to voicemail at that time.

Thanks

I see that ring groups will achieve this, this will cause issues with the voicemail. The ring group would need to redirect the caller to a VM if not answered.

Do you know how I would set up the voicemail to allow both to see and listen to messages as a result of the call not being answered by the ring group?

Thanks

I have recently set up a multiline appearance group for our 2 receptionists, I favoured this over a ring group because then they both have access to the connected voicemail with message waiting indication. The issue i am now having is that the call history for the multiline number is not going to the phones. It is important that it does because all customer calls are routed through this. I have read online that this is the intended behaviour as our phones (Mitel 6930) to only display call history for the prime line. Is there a workaround to this so that both receptionists are able to see call history for the multiline appearance group?

Thanks

Pretty straight forward actually... Add a Message Waiting Indicator on Phone 2 of Phone 1's extension.

Thanks! Turns out the mailbox had 0 unread messages and that's why the light wasn't on  ::)

Using MiVoice Business
I have a ring group containing 2 phones, Phone 1 has a voicemail attached and calls to the ring group are diverted there if not answered. Phone 2 in the group needs to see when the Mailbox has a new message and be able to access messages.

How to set this up?
