Mitel Software Applications / Re: Teleworker without MBG
« on: August 29, 2025, 04:15:40 PM »
I think a softphone will suffice.  They can get a vpn on the pc to run.  So a softphone would work that way.  do you just configure it as a sip device to the controller, and let them pass it by the firewall?

The firewall at the mivb side probably can be  used to bring in the sip to the mivb.  The set end has a ISP router and cant get it changed or help with it they say.

Mitel Software Applications / Teleworker without MBG
« on: August 26, 2025, 11:22:33 AM »
going with this is a crazy question.  Is there a way to have one phone or softphone connect to a mivoice 3300 9.4 version without having a MBG?  I have a customer that needs one teleworker and doesn't really want to do a MBG.  They do not have Micollab or MBG at the moment.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Trouble shooting help for VLAN
« on: June 06, 2025, 08:17:25 AM »
I have the pc ports disabled but am wondering if a tagged port from the switch has had something like that plugged into it somewhere. The IT is going to try separating out a separate vlan.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Trouble shooting help for VLAN
« on: June 03, 2025, 03:47:19 PM »
I am having trouble with a network and cant pinpoint the issue.  The question is, IS there a way on the Mitel 3300 to look for broadcast or ip storms from a device.  Nothing can be seen in the switches.  Phones are in different areas and linked together via fiber.  One area is randomly locking the link up (monthly).  The link can be bounced and all is well for around 30 days. Is there trouble shooting that I can use from the 3300 to look for the problem.  When the link is locked up it only effects the phone VLan other traffic is not affected.  I am assuming something on the phone VLan is causing the issue.  There IT has all the networking components (switch,DHCP and router).

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: MWI button appearance

The vm for the extension does light the light up.  This is when I try to program a mwi button for the other mailbox. The button says the label name but is gray and says off.  This is for a ring group and when it is not answered it hits its on VM box and I want a appearance of that mailbox that can be checked from a phone.  I have it going to her email but that is not enough.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Time beside the alarm status
« on: March 05, 2025, 11:58:05 AM »
I have two controllers networked together at different locations. mivoice 3300  mxeIII and a mxe.   I just noticed that there is time and date showing up beside where the alarm clear (status ) is at the top of the page.  both systems have a different time and incorrect.  The actual date and time on the system and phones are correct.  What does this time correlate too?  I have updated one to the 9.4 and the other is waiting on money to update the controller first.  it is at 8.0

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MWI button appearance
« on: February 12, 2025, 05:13:52 PM »
I am sure this is a silly thing.  I have programed a lot of buttons this way but this one will not work for me.  MIVB 9.4   nupoint VM, and Micollab.
I had to change a extension to another number due to conflict is the start of the issue.  This person has one extension 6187 but she hot desk in to a acd extension 6636.  I put a multicall button of 6187 while logged into 6636 so she can answer not acd call from that number.  6187 also has a MB.  I normally put a MWI button on the 6636 so she can see she has a voicemail on 6187 and get to it.  I have 20 other extension that this works on.  This one however has the MWI button that says off in a square.  I have the MB set up in nupoint.  I also deleted it and let micollab create the MB also (same results).  I cannot find anywhere what this off is and why it is on this button.  Thanks for the help

I have two 250 boxes tied together.  One has ext 100's and the other 200's.  The users at 100 can call all the phones on the other node with ext 200's   100 can call 201, 202 and so on.  However I added ext 220. anyone at the other node (100) cannot dial this 220 extension.  It gets shut down when the second 2 is dialed.  I know this is a simple something I am missing. Thanks

Ralph I have created the call director mailbox for a ACD user.  I have it set up for the messages and it returns back to the original ACD extension. Works great, however when I place a test call and transfer caller to the call director mailbox it still wants me to leave a msg instead of the call flow.  Now if I call a extension programed to that mailbox it rings and I hear the call director.  I think I might be missing something easy here.       I just need a way to transfer the call to the mailbox and call director pick right up.

Thanks again.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Help with two MBGS on MIVB
« on: September 16, 2024, 03:43:59 PM »
I have two MBG, one for secure call recording and one for Teleworkers.   I have the teleworkers connected to the teleworker mbg.  The onsite workers that get call recorded connect to the call recording MBG.  I have switched to the interaction recording requiring the direct recording.  This is why I am now using the second MBG for call recording.  These mbgs are not "clustered" in with the system.  MY question is what is the best way to have the teleworkers get recorded also.  I have the teleworker sets MAC in the call recording MBG  and the teleworker MBG ( of course they connect to the teleworker MBG).  Thank You for the help.     9.4 MIVB system

It is a fairly long recording that only certain customers will have to hear.  So the csr have to find out what they need first.

Mitel Software Applications / cluster question for MBGs
« on: August 08, 2024, 01:28:38 PM »
I have a system that has a MBG for teleworker, a Micollab server with mivoice border gateway and another MBG for secure call recording.  I have not had to deal with anything cluster related.  Are these considered clustered? they all work with a Mivoice 3300 but do not seem to be connected to each other in what they do (other than teleworker calls being recorded).  The MSL versions  are not the same now and I am upgrading the SRC to 11.6.  Will the others have to be upgraded as well or are the not clustered and do not have to be?    SRC is now at 11.6   teleworker is at 11.0 and micollab Linux 11.0

Mivoice 3300 9.1  with ACD MiCC contact center

I do not have much experience with ACD but have inherited it.  I am needing to have callers that have come into the ACD que be put on Hold or park and hear a message, then be able for recall or the agent pick them back up after hearing the message.   By law they have to hear this message in the middle of a service order  Example( Customer calls in, discusses what they are needing, Then they have to hear the recording for the law, Then return the agent and finish the service order up).  We have multiple RADs with messages that play while on hold in the que now and those are good and need to stay in place. How would be the best route to achieve this.  Maybe a hunt group ext that they could be sent too ( but how would they get back to the same agent)  Call director (same how to get back to same agent)?     Have a separate MOH hold button with a different source?  Call park (can I have a separate MOH for those call Park positions  (we do not use call park now)

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 28-vpu out of sync
« on: June 25, 2024, 01:46:46 PM »
Any one know what 28-vpu out of sync in red that shows up on a 6940 phone does not show up on 6930 phones.  This is on a Mitel 250 with MCS.  The phone works but this shows up randomly and goes away.  On the last software version.  These phones are on a network of switches, the ports are tagged vlan, the phones are not.
