Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP Beep
« on: May 13, 2011, 04:50:06 PM »
Have another fun question  ;)

I have a random SIP phone (Konftel Conference phone), and the phone is beeping for all out-bound calls (Made or received). However, it does NOT have the beeping tone for any internal calls.

Konftel assure me that it is not a setting in their phone, and have even gone as far as replacing the unit with another to prove it.

Is their a SIP setting that I could be screwing up that would cause a tone for outbound calls?

<3 you guys!

and have a good weekend!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / RAD on DnD
« on: May 09, 2011, 09:50:25 AM »
Hey guys...been a little while! Have another question for you -

Ok, I have a RAD that continually goes on DnD. I have been taking it out by keying in ##54084 - but it's getting to the point that I have to do this about 4-5 times a day, and that's only after I hear that people are getting dropped. So, let me break this call flow down -

A call comes into 2215 (A hunt group), which is set for a COS of 6. The 6 CoS is setup as an always call forward to our 6160 box. The 6160 then re-directs the number back to the 3300 as a blind transfer through the interactive tree. From here, it hits ACD group 1033. The ACD group is then pointed to a hunt group (92864), where said RAD is located as a member of the (4084).

The final Hunt group is configured as a terminal RAD hunt group. It is also set to a CoS 5, which is our general RAD CoS.

When a user calls, they are to hit the ACD group, and if noone is logged in...they are then to be sent to the 4085 RAD that says thanks for calling, here is our email...and then DC. ACD Groups appears to be working fine, but I just can't seem to get that RAD to stay available.

I am THINKING that the RAD is going on DnD due to a timing issue that might be set on the RAD number itself, or even possibly the CoS, but that's as far as I got. I'm not entirely sure where to set the timer for the RAD itself of through the CoS.

As always, appreciate any help!

Ok, thank you Ralph...found that.

Bad news is that it was already set to our default RAD COS (DnD is off). I even tried to make a new CoS with just the settings described...and now I get an error when I try and hear the RAD.

Bluewhite -

Looks to be just what I'm looking for! But I'm having a little trouble finding just where I can set the COS of that number.

I have my Class of Service group all setup with those options, but I can't seem to find where I tie it to the 4808 number...Can't find what menu it would be under to do that

Having a slight issue with the creation of a RAD on a 3300.

I start in VM System Settings under VM ports. I throw the number 4084 (This was just a random number) on Port ID 5.

From here I go under VM greetings and set port ID 5 to play RAD Set 15.

I then swith to VM RAD greetings and set RAD Set 15 to play greeting 6...I hop on the admin mailbox and record greeting 6 and save it.

From here, I would think that a direct dial of 4084 would play that greeting 6 RAD. But I instead get a direct line termination.

Essentially, what I need to have happen is a have the Overflow of an ACD group play this RAD and end the call whenever no agents are logged in. I Have the Hunt Group created for this 4084 RAD and it is a member of the Hunt Group (Of which is set to Class of Service 5 - the RAD COS). A direct call to that hunt group has the same result as a direct call to 4084.

Essentially I was thinking that maybe I needed to set the Class of Service of 4084 to 5 in order to represent that it is a RAD...although it appears as if only groups receive COS settings.

Seems like I'm missing one small step, but several hours later...and I still haven't seen it!

So, per my normal request - Please help!

Thanks as always guys!

I had it in a hunt group, the Hunt Group was set as 4015...I think I did figure out my problem though.

It seems as if the 4015 RAD was empty. Which is strange, because it DID have a message on it recently (I even called it several times before to check it, and it worked.)

But today I call it and it just cuts out.

So, I guess everything is working, just strange that a RAD would clear out like that!

Thank you for the help!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / ACD Group to a RAD
« on: March 24, 2011, 12:41:20 PM »
Hey guys - having a bit of a problem....

I have an ACD group that has 4 members. 3 of the members are almost Never present, so that leaves one ACD member to be logged in. This user does not want to have a Voicemail. When he is logged in, the group works fine.

When he logs out, any calls to this number hit an empty line which ends the call. I currently have the "Path unavailable Answer Point Directory Number" pointing to a know working RAD. But, instead of playing the RAD, the call just cuts off when noone is logged into the group.

Here are my settings for the RAD (RAD is on ext 4015)

Allow Overflow to Interflow Before Time Out       Yes
Path Unavailable Answer Point Directory Number       4015
Path Real Time Events Enabled       Yes
Interflow To This Path Uses This Path Priority       No
DTMF Receiver Unavailable Action       Play RAD
DTMF Receiver Unavailable Answer Point Directory Number

Any ideas? Am I not able to have an overflow point directly to a RAD?

As always, thanks!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Rename Groups and List Print
« on: March 18, 2011, 02:37:02 PM »
Hey guys -

Go easy on me...but I am a bit new to Mitel (2weeks new!). So, I actually have two questions....

#1 - how do you change the name of a ring group? I thought it was through telephone director, but it wont appear since it is a group and not a user.

#2 - Is there a way to print out a detailed list of all of the numbers that are currently in use. My problem is that I am starting out at a new location. They switched buildings several months ago and they carried there old phone extensions with them (Anything with a xxx-xxx-2xxx). The tech before me began to switch the old extensions over to the new, but ended up finding employment elsewhere mid-way through. So, I need to be able to find every instance of that number. I was thinking a big printed list would make it the easiest, but I am up for suggestions!

Thanks for any help!
