MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Toll restiction - account code override
« on: February 17, 2023, 06:26:20 PM »
I have and MVO 250, with the object being to toll restrict one extension (deny 0 or 1), but allow admin staff to override the toll restriction using a validated  account code. I have the toll restriction working fine. Account code/validation override is the issue. I have the account code length set, forced account code programmed, the extension set for Forced/Validated/LD Toll Calls. Feature access codes 7390 or 7391 (+ acct. code) don't override the toll restriction. I am stumped. Thanks.

Reply back from Mitel. COS not corrupt. COS option 610 guest room template 1-3. Buttons can only be programmed in Form 37, guest room template.

Apparently my post was edited. Short answer - COS 1 for the 5304 IP  was corrupt. Modified another COS to have same options and copied to COS 1. Now TOK.

As per my original post, there was no Feature (and hence Superkey) option shown in Form 09/Expanded set for the 5304 IP phone programmed with COS 1.
After much testing, I discovered something I had never seen before

In form 09, expand set, yes you can program the different type of keys, with limited choices (eg. no feature key options), and the buttons are already programmed as speed dial buttons, which is fine. But on the phone itself, there is no obvious way to program a phone number in the button. In a 5340 IP phone, for example, you would press the superkey, choose programmable button, press the button, and program it. But not able to on the 5304. Mitel's instructions for the 5304 say "press the superkey (if programmed)" No way to program it. Wonderful

I have a hotel site with a Mitel 200 ICP AX, with approx. 90  5304 phones. How do I  program the one touch buttons, as there is no superkey on the phone, and in Form 09/Expand Set, there is no option to program a super key. Presently, they are all programmed as speed call buttons, in form 09, but I cannot figure out how to program the actual buttons on the phones. Thanks. Mike
