MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Lost VM port license?

Hello,

I have Inter-tel 5000 v2.3 with the embedded VM. Customer reported that they had no voicemail. i logged into system and the Voice Processing was not in the Tree. I found that the Basic Voicemail was not enabled, i turned on and now i have access to it and their database is there however i get SYS ALARM 131, which is "A131 Voice Mail Ports Not Licensed (5000 Only)". I look at the licenses and and Basic VM Ports are set to 0. I rebooted and no change.

Where did there licenses go? and how to i get them back?!  Im pretty new to the 5000 so i have to be missing something simple right?

I have a customer running a Mitel MiVoice Business 13.1.0.333 and NuPoint 14.2.2.15.01 (both are in same subnet),  they have branch locations that are running are running 5330e IP phones off of the MiVoice over there MPLS network (no MBG), They have several branch locations that are using Mitel SX-200 ICP 3.1.0.11 that is connected to the MiVB with IP trunks, as gateways for the PSTN connection and analog connection, this scenario has been working for a while now. Once the centrex package at each branch goes out of contract, we will drop the branch to 2 or 3 phone lines and connect them to the MiVB using a SIP FXO/FXS gateway for connection for analog and PSTN. We will be using a Cisco SPA8800. However one of the SX200 controllers had other ideas and failed ahead of time, so installed the SPA8800 ahead of schedule at one location.

calls using FXS ports on SPA8800 work perfectly, Calls outbound on FXO ports work great, and inbound to 5330es at local site and remote sites work great; calls in on FXO 2, 3, and 4 when connected to NuPoint, no audio on NuPoint, if you get to a mailbox, the mailbox says "nothing recorded", but FXO 1 works fine.     i changed the Media service type to "Variable Packet" and the issue cleared. however when i change it when calling through the remaining sx200 i am unable to use DTMF when connected to NuPoint, no mailbox password, no pressing options in call flow.

I cant see why change the Media Service option would cause and issue with the sx200 DTMF over IP trunk? any ideas what i need to change in the SX200, NuPoint or SPA8800 to get all 3 playing nice together

any suggestions would be appreciated!!

MCD 6.0 with 1 ISDN PRI, customer has 2 companies in same building and employees work for both companies, and wants to be able to dial a code or a different access code from the same Extension to do a different outbound Caller ID,

so they dial 92223334444 from Ext 1001 and outbound caller ID displays 555-5555 OR if they dial 82223334444 from Ext 1001 and out bound caller ID is 555-6666.

Not sure where to begin,I know the CPN substitution form apply to the entire digital link and not individual routes so that probably wouldn't work, and Associated Directory number would apply to the every call from the Extension, so that's probably no good either.  Any tips would be appreciated!

I did look at that, it is set to N+

i had changed it the NXXXXXXXXX and then after 7 digits, I got "Unable to route call" on the display of the phone

I have inherited an Inter Tel 5000 (i work mainly on 3300) with a PRI.  The area just went through and area code overlay and they now need to dial 10 digits to call local. when they dial out, unless the first digit is 1, it connects them to a trunk after 7 digits are dialed.

I have tried adjusting the Dial Pattern on the Route Group, I also changed the Local 7/10 Digit Dialing Area Flag to Yes, and no change, I also added the area code to the Home Area Code

If some one could please point me in the right direction!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel MCD 4.1 toll fraud??

I have a customer that has Mitel MCD 4.1 with the Embedded VM, PRI and a couple of Toll Free Numbers pointed to DIDs.

They have been getting several inbound calls all from different numbers, after hours and weekends to just one of their Toll Free Numbers,  these calls last for hours (one was 20hrs long). This DID is forwarded to a mailbox after hours. I confirmed that there are no matching Outbound calls around that time and there have been no outrageous long distance bills, which is great.  but it is still costing them to pay for a 20hr inbound toll free number.   

I found that if a call comes in and is muted, the mailbox will give a message "the message is too short" then dumps the call  into the Main Night AA, then roll to the Operator extension, then to the operator Mailbox where it does the same thing, and so on and so on.    I have set the Call Duration timer on the trunks to prevent a call going longer than 90 min (so not to interfere with normal calling) however i 90 min is still a long time,  is there anyway to disconnect a call that has no or low audio or have the mailbox handle the low audio differently?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MCD 5.0 T1 Issue

I have a MCD 5.0 pn an MXe with a LD T1 installed (not a PRI)  every once in a while the the circuit is unavailable, each time i look and find that some of the channels are locked out. i busy and rts the channels locked out and all everything comes up. It seems to choose channels at random,   there are no slips or errors on the circuit, i suspect that it is an issue with the provider, however the the telco says that there is no issue with the circuit, and with out any more specific info its a hard sell to them. I have 2 other PRI's that are working with out issue in the system and I have moved the circuit to a different Framer Module in the system that had a working PRI in it and had the same issue with the T1 circuit.  i have looked through the software logs and found this entry shows up everytime a channel locks out:

trkhdlr_ logged invalid msg in locked_out    PLID 15 1 3 20    Peripheral State: 001C, Data: 2A 0

any idea what that means?

My Trunk Numbers do not conflict with extnsion numbers  (i have 4 digit Extensions and 3 digit trunks numbers), however i did do another test, when i transfer an incoming call from another ip phone to my extnension the Call History fails just like from voicemail, so it seems it has something to do with calls being transfered (either from VM or IP phone)

I have an MCD 5.0 on an MXe with a PRI, also have a vMAS 4.0 with UCA 5.0 and NPM 5.0 baldes installed.

My issue is the Call History and Screen Pop Ups on my UCA Clients (mobile and Desktop) are hit or miss. If i call in on a DID the Call History and Screen pops display the proper Caller ID every time, however if i call in throuhg our Automated Attendant and dial my extension sometimes the Call history and Screen pop up are correct, most of the time they dispaly the VM Port DN. I also have a 5340 set associated with the caller ID and Call History on that device works properly.
 
I am not sure why it would work sometimes and other times not, any ideas?

I looked at that, and it is set up, I have been able to look at the MSL web console, its only when i click Configure UC Server that i get hosed up, i am able to get in to all pages except the one i need

Hello

I am pretty new at this, but this seems like a weird one! I have a UCA server 4.0 vApp new install, we built the Server using the .ova file and licenced through AMC, everything looks good, except when i click on the link tha says Configure UC Server, i get a webpage that says cannot display the webpage, teh server status says ACTIVE

Ive tried rebooting every way possible, i clicked on the Re-initalize Server option, I have removed and reinstalled the UC Server blade, (from AMC and the CD Drive), i can access that menu from the server manager from the Text Console, however i cant navigate to the other tabs, except Enterprise

So why cant hit that page from the Web console, or if any one knows how to get to the other tabs from the text console that would work
