Thank you all for the suggestions and feedback.
Good news, I was able to resolve the issue, call forwarding is working now.

I had to go to SIP Peer Profile > SDP Options and change the options
"Force sending SDP in initial Invite - Early Answer" and "Suppress Use of SDP Inactive Media Streams" to "Yes".

After that, I setup a system speed dial and assigned that as a first alternative in the call rerouting.
Now calls go to the external destination if they are not answered.

Can someone explain what these options are? Just curious as to why they were set to "No" and if they will have any other impact on the system.
Thank you again everyone for the help.

Thank you for the suggestion ZuluAlpha.

The call forwarding profile is indeed set to "Always".

Here's what I am trying to do:
the call comes to extension 561 > if there is no answer > transfer the call to mobile number.

I have noticed while testing that the only way to make this happens if I set DND for extension 561.
Then, any calls coming to 561 will go directly to mobile number.

Is there anything that I am maybe missing or overlooked? I am open and grateful to all suggestions.

Hey everyone.

I am having trouble with this issue for a long time, I thought maybe someone here could help me figure it out.
Basically, I am trying to auto forward calls to an external destination but it does not seem to be working properly.

When I call from an internal extension, the call is forwarded to the external destination as it should, however, calling from my mobile or from an external destination, the call is not forwarded.

Please if someone has any suggestions as to what I can try, I would appreciate it.

EDIT: We are using Mitel 3300.

Thank you.
