Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP registration not sending username
« on: August 10, 2021, 10:06:28 PM »
Hi,

We're changing SIP providers and struggling to get the new SIP registration working as it fails every time. The provider can see registration attempts from their end, but what they're getting is -

To: <sip:203.30.19.164:5062>
From: <sip:172.16.201.135:5060>;

rather than

To: <sip:203.30.19.164:5062>
From: <sip:
service-number@172.16.201.135:5060>;

Both the SIP peer profile and the SIP config in MBG have the username/service-name in place but we can't seem to get the username sent at all. This looks like something fairly fundamental and probably a simple step that we've missed out somewhere along the line, but we've had no luck yet. Could someone please point us in the right direction?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Global change to voicemail greeting
« on: December 10, 2020, 11:50:56 PM »
Is there a way to change the default voicemail greeting for everyone? We've been asked to apply a temporary message for the Christmas/New Year break for every mailbox (personal and group). Also, can it be reverted back to what it was previously at the end of the period?

We have incoming anonymous calls being rejected on a MiVoice Business system (8.0 SP3). Looking at network traces anonymous calls appear as coming from sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid and are receiving a 404/REJECTED response. Non-anonymous calls to the same number works fine.

The DID range is correctly assigned to the only SIP peer profile on the system and that profile has Reject Incoming Anonymous Calls set to No. The only possible suspect I can see is that Alternate Destination Domain FQDN or IP Address is set to the SIP proxy of our SIP provider. Should it be set to this, or even set to anything at all? On other systems I've seen this is not set. What does this setting do?

(the "obvious settings" in the title are the ones that are obvious to me, I fully expect to have missed something simple that others will wonder how I didn't know about them)
