SIP On Mitel / Re: Mitel 5610 and 5000HX controller * tone not getting sent

Thank you for the reply.  I think part of our bigger issue is we are still running v5.1.0.33 programming.  If I am reading it correctly, looks like DTMF Payload was a new feature in v6.

Still getting the same error after opening up all the ports.  Are there any other Windows softphone applications out there to try?  X-Lite is no longer supported with Bria being the replacement but they want you to setup an account with them.  And yes, I did setup an account and gave it a go.  Same results.

Thanks for your help!

It does.  I am planning on opening up all ports for a few minutes as a test.

SIP On Mitel / Mitel 5000HX and external softphone configuration
« on: November 13, 2020, 11:01:59 AM »
Hello all!  I am working on getting a SIP softphone working from outside our network.  We have a public IP for our Mitel and external IP phones can connect and function.

I am using ExpressTalk as a test and can get it to connect and make/receive calls from within our network.  When I enter our public IP and attempt to register the softphone, I get a Failed 403: Forbidden error.  I verified port 5060 is open (Sonicwall) as this is the port ExpressTalk had as default.

Pretty sure this is a Firewall issue but want to make sure I am not missing anything else.

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Thank you!

SIP On Mitel / Mitel 5610 and 5000HX controller * tone not getting sent

Hello all.  I am working on a Mitel 5000HX and added a couple of 5610 cordless phones.  Was able to get everything registered and "working".  Issue I am having is when the user wants to access their voicemail, our system has a the 232 feature code and press the * key when the AA starts but the system never detects the * key was pressed.  The DECT base is set to RFC2833 signalling.

Any suggestions are welcomed!
