Recently changed mode to Server-Gateway mode; WAN interface is set on my network edge with a public IP.

MiCollab v9.3.x ;  MSL 11.0.x

Are the firewall activities logged?  Which log file would I view?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Conference Phone with USB

My site has been using the UC360 conference phone which has USB port but appears to be limited for files only.

I'm looking for a conference phone that is compatible with MiVB 9.2.x with phone / computer USB capability if there is such a device. Preferably wireless USB. 

Web conferencing includes the ability to use computer audio. I can definitely add a separate mic/speaker device connected directly to a computer, but trying to have an "all in one" setup to save space.

Any advice?

Hello, still getting familiar with the system.  However, you can configure Notifications.  I am not familiar with the logs yet.

I have been successful using these steps:
1. System Configuration > Tenant > General Settings > SMTP - I added my email server and test connection is successful
2. System Configuation > Notifications > AUDIT / Conversation_Replay
    a. Activate
    b. Recipients > e-mail addresses > Create > add my email address > Save
3. Playback a recording and I did get an email alert

You can set various alerts via SNMP or SMTP.

Again, new system and will learn more in time.

I have both ACD and non-ACD traffic and we have trunk side recording. I am trying to find the avg nbr of calls per day and avg duration for those calls. 

My Traffic Analysis reports return no data when selecting my SIP Trunk.  Same with the Voice > Trunk Reports.
What is a good report to find these numbers? 
      I've considered Employee Group reports, but I'd first have to create a group for all employees.   
      Another option is a DNIS Group with all DNIS' as members...

Pressing the * worked - thank you ZA.  Following the prompts per the guide definitely did not help as there was no option for that.

The exact steps were:
Dial the Call Flow extension
Press * > Enter the passcode > Press * again > Press 6 to edit the Action ID recording.

Does anyone have the exact NuPoint menu options needed in order to edit Call Flow menu prompts?  Per a note in the call flow tool "You can record the audio for this action by dialing into your mailbox and pressing the * key. Then follow the instructions. You will need the Action ID mentioned above."

However, I can't seem to get to the right area as I'm not being prompted for the Action ID.  The prompt for the greeting does come up, but there is no prompt for the action id number. 

The recordings using our microphones sound muffled and I'd like to try using the phone handset.

The NuPoint Info Guide has very limited information "IMPORTING/CREATING AUDIO FILES
Audio prompts are required in a call flow to provide instructions and/or options to the caller.
These audio files can be recorded by the user at the PC, or imported through the Web View
Call Director tab. Alternatively, users can record prompts over the telephone by following
prompts within Call Director"

Thanks for that; do you have the steps to name the extension in NuPoint?  Keep in mind that this is only a backup copy and there is no extension in my controller (MCD / MiVoice Business). I haven't had a need to name an extension within NuPoint and I am not familiar with those steps.

NuPoint Call Director - Call Flow Naming...

I backed up a Call Flow using the Edit > Copy From which worked fine. However, I am unable to find where I can add a Name to this copy. 

Anyone have any insights to add one?

Mitel Software Applications / MICC Windows OS Upgrade

Seeking feedback regarding a Windows Server in-place upgrade.  My MICC server is currently running on a Windows Server 2012R2 OS and with SQL 2014.

Has anyone in this forum attempted an in-place upgrade from Windows Server 2012R2 to 2016 Std?  If so, were there any issues with any of the MICC applications? The 2016 OS is listed as supported, just wondering how the application handles an in-place upgrade as opposed to being installed on it.

I've been able to test this with limitations (an isolated vm - no connection to MCD or other components).  The Mitel services do start, however I am not able to fully test. In this test, I experience messages regarding the MICC RedistPacker (errors).  However, not sure if this is due to the vm being isolated.

Upon successful OS upgrade, my next step would be to upgrade SQL to 2016. Which I have yet to test.

Update.  I migrated one of my VMs (MBG 11.x) successfully; MiCollab 9.3.x Server is up next soon and will follow the same steps in Reply #5 (above).

Following the steps in Reply #5 worked fine. I migrated from Hyper-V 2012R2 to Hyper-V 2022.

The server powered up and no further steps were taken or necessary as the Licensing Center was also fine post migration.

This process proves this process as opposed to 'restore from running server' should there be no running server available. For an upgrade, I'll definitely 'restore from running server'.

After the MiCollab Server migration, I'll still have a MICC Server to also migrate.

RTS worked, but I used the RTS x  y  z  format as in cabinet shelf slot .

Appreciate the assist.  Good thing it was a very low used ext.

I ran a Busy Ext xxxx command successfully

A Busy Reset xxxx command is returning a message  "Busy Reset command not supported for extension

What is another way to remove the busy?  Ext is on an ASU if that is relevant

Thank you both for that info, very helpful.  I will plan on a Mitel Restore to migrate to a new host. 

HOWEVER, I do need to better plan for recovery should I not be able to restore from a running VM.  My hosts are bullet proofed to an extent (dual power, RAID, etc.), but I am single threaded in that I will have only one host.

In the scenario where I would have imported using Hyper-V, I was missing some steps or not familiar with other steps.  Can you guide?
1. In Hyper-V, Import using Hyper-V
2. In Hyper-V assign the network interface(s) to the respective virtual networks
3. In Hyper-V, Networking for the vm, Set static MAC
4. In Hyper-V, Power up VM
5. In MSL, Log into the server console
6. ?  Not sure where to go next ?  Configure server and go through that setup?
7. ?  How do I reset the AMC footprint ? Is that simply running a Sync from the ServiceLink page?
