Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiVoice Business Console IP Address
« on: November 23, 2020, 02:35:07 PM »
Can a MiVoice Business Console have a IP address reserved for it which is different than the IP address reserved for the computer the console is running on?

One of our network admins has asked the question and although my initial answer was no, I thought it would be better to ask the experts.

Thank you ZuluAlpha, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Good morning.

I need to add a LOT extensions to a Mitel 3300 in a very short amount of time and I'd like to do it without having to add each extension one at a time.

I've exported the current User and Services Configuration from the switch to a CSV file and the plan is to edit it with Excel to add the additional extensions, but I'm not sure how to proceed.  According to the Google searching I've done, I've learned that "some" of the "fields" (and by "fields" I'm thinking they meant columns?) need to be deleted from the CSV file before importing it into the system, but there were no details on which fields need to be deleted.  When editing the CSV file, do I delete all the existing extension information and only include the new extensions before importing?  Will that delete the existing extensions when it creates the new ones or just add the new extensions?

HELP!

Thank you pert.necas.  That allowed me to log into the advanced features and enable BlueTooth.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Setting up 6930 on 3300

Good morning,

How do you program a 6930 phone, on a 3300 switch, so that you can enable BlueTooth (BT) on the phone?

Under Users and Devices > User and Services Configuration > Service Profile tab:  I set the device type for a new extension to 6930 IP.  I set up the rest of the extension the same way we've been setting up 5300 series phones for years.  When I power up the 6930 IP phone everything looks great but there doesn't appear to be any way in the settings to enable BT on the phone.  From the settings button I went through all the menus I could access, but nothing is listed about BT.  I tried to access the Advanced menu to see if the BT options were listed there, but the phone displays a message indicating that, "Administrator access is disabled".  How do I enable administrator access, presuming this is where the BT options are hidden, or am I looking in the wrong place completely?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
