SIP On Mitel / 6920 IP Phone / DHCP Options with Aastra 5000 PBX
« on: March 12, 2019, 06:01:17 AM »
Out Infrastructure is as following
- PBX Aastra MiVoice 5000 in a Server VLAN SYS5000.1 R6.4A A5 00
- PC Client VLAN (untagged)
- VOIP VLAN (tagged)
Between the VLAN is a Checkpoint Firewall but between the VLAN's is every Service open.
We have registred the following Vendor Class correctly «ipphone.mitel.com.» with binary at the DHCP Server which is running on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2.
We also set Option 43 in both VLAN's correctly (Which VLAN is correct for Option 43 ? First Boot VLAN or the VOIP VLAN ?)
Option 43 for «ipphone.mitel.com» :
id:ipphone.mitel.com;cfg_srvr_url=ftp://connexio:connexio@IP;
(Do not forget the semicolon!)
Does somebody know what we have to configure exactly for the DHCP Options on Microsoft DHCP Server Windows Server 2012 R2 ?
Are there any other hints we have to know ?
The only thing that is working is to change the vlan from PC Client to the VOIP VLAN.
Does somebody know how to configure the Microsoft DHCP Options and is better to use TFTP or FTP to download the Configuration to the phone?
Thanks for any help and if you need any further information just let me know.
kind regards
Thomas
