Were you able to complete the deployment? I have a similar issue with my first EX deployment. My error message is different but the results are the same. Here is my error message.
Failed to lock SipEp due to Failed to execute sipep.LockConfig due to No such name, result: Configuration Unlocked., will retry

I ended up finding the answer to my own question. An IP address change of the MiVB will initiate a change in the virtual MAC.

Did you purchase the T.38 license for the controller? If not then I would think it would fail. The license was expensive for me and only comes in a 4 pack, so I ended up purchasing a 2 port Grandstream ATA and then creating a SIP extension on the controller and registering that extension on the Grandstream.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiVB MAC on SMB
« on: June 06, 2024, 11:37:13 AM »
Hello,
We installed a new SMB running MiVB (10.0.2.10) today and ran into an issue where the virtual MAC of the MiVB changed when powering it on in it's new location. We had built and programmed the system in a lab environment and then powered it down and moved it to a retail location and powered it back on. Since we use network access control to define VLAN assignment per MAC this caused the MiVB side of the SMB to not come up until we found the new MAC and added it to our endpoint DB. Anyone know of a way to have the MiVB keep the same MAC address once configured?

Is SIP over WiFi an option? We use the Grandstream WP825 connected to Wi-Fi which gives us better range over being tied to a dect base station. Pretty easy to program the device to point to the MiVB and configure a SIP extension. I do have one Mitel 5634 on Wi-Fi as well but for the cost with the same functionality and an easier setup I prefer the GS WP825.

Once you have created an action and I believed saved your call flow then when you go back in and click on an action there will be a list of "Existing Actions". For example in my call flow I have an action called Main Menu. Every option # in any other sub menu I just chose that Main Menu from the Existing Actions to route callers back to the top of the call flow.

Enjoy this ability to while you can. Mitel has moved the Nupoint call tree into the latest version of MiVB and renamed it VM Call Flow Administration (This form is available only for cMIVB, EX Controller, MiVoice Business Virtual, and MiVoice Business for ISS).

There is no option that I've found to produce the same report from the MiVB. On the plus side if they do add the ability you could probably figure out a way to use the scheduler to produce the report...maybe.

Redsky or Intrado. If it's a Teleworker set you just have to make sure the CESID/ELIN is provisioned with the correct address. If you're using MiCollab PC client you still need to assign a CESID to that specific device but it's up to the user to enter the address in an "Emergency Location" menu that appears in MiCollab when the feature is enabled on the server side. I set it up for ~100 users in my org over the summer, not too terrible. We pay about $15/year per ELIN for Redsky plus a couple of SIP trunk licenses to send them the emergency calls.

Lundah,
I'm in the process of an Intrado setup myself. Any caveats for me or others going though the setup that aren't in the Mitel manual?

Well we ended up solving our issue. Turns out that the SMBC should have a different IP from the MSL and MiVB blade.

Did you get this resolved? I am setting up my first SMB as well and after getting through the MSL steps I no longer have access to server-manager. Here are the steps I've tried.
Reboot.
Stopped MSL container and then changed back to running.
Direct connect from laptop to eth0 with the controller IP for example being 192.168.1.1 and my laptop 192.168.1.5.
Changed the eth0 in the SMB to 192.168.1.2 in thoery leaving the server-manager IP at 192.168.1.1.

I'm at a loss now and we are thinking about a factory reset. I come from the 3300 world and I so I am used to the controller IP and the server-manager IP being the same...is that not the case with the SMB?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Ring Group to Ring Group to Voicemail
« on: February 24, 2023, 01:04:48 PM »
I have an IVR routine that allows a caller to enter a 3 digit code and then the call get's routed to a specific extension. If the call isn't answered the caller then get's that extension VM. I've been asked to change it to if the call isn't answered on the specific extension then a ring group of 7 extensions is dialed. If that isn't answered I'd like the call to land on the original extensions VM or even a group VM. I can't change the users extension call routing as a direct call still has to work the same.
So I attempted to create a RG with the user in it and then overflow to another ring group that rings the whole group. That solves the ringing but then if the call still isn't answered it ends up looking for the users ring group mailbox number instead of the group ring group mailbox number. I can add the users RG as an alt extension to the group RG mailbox but I have 7 people and you can only put 4 alts in a mailbox.
I love using the phone system to manage people...
Anyone have better way to achieve missed call hitting a group or ring group to ring group to shared VM box?

Mitel Software Applications / Re: ACD Agent Groups - Skipping Agents
« on: April 22, 2022, 06:49:02 PM »
Any chance you have different Skill levels on your agents? Check this in MiVB under ACD>ACD Agent Skill Groups. I found out this the hard way after we picked 50 as the level for everyone but the default of a new agent is 0.

I had this problem when the server was improperly set during the micollab client install. The client couldn't reach the server name due to a typo. I know there is a config file you can edit but I just ended up uninstalling and reinstalling.

Where in the micollab server can you export Users and Services? I checked NuPoint in Mailboxes and I don't see an export either.
