Hi all,
We have a Mitel A-470 AIN set up.Both the systems(Master and Satellite) are on Release 4.1 HF4 .Earlier, whenever we had a network failure then the Satellite system would reboot automatically and would come up and show " Satellite in offline mode" on the display of Mitel A-470. Post this both the Master and the Satellite systems would continue to function as individual systems. When network comes up then the satellite would reboot again and the display would show "Mitel" and communication between Master and Satellite would be established.Now we face an issue where when the network is down then the Satellite doesn't reboot but when we login through web access then the main page post login shows AIN:Sattelite is online .We have to manually reboot almost 3-4 times .Each time the Satellite system comes up we face a different issue .After First reboot we get a long busy tone on every phone and there will be no internal communication. After second reboot we find there is no dial tone at all on any extension. After Third reboot we find that we get dial tones on extensions and we can even call extensions in Master but We cannot hear the other party,means Satellite cannot hear the Master system's extensions.Only after fourth reboot that the communication would be fully established.I have the crash logs taken while rebooting the system for the third and fourth time respectively but since its in .gz format so not sure whether i can post it here.

Please help me in resolving this issue .

Hi all,
I found resolution to the issue that is i need to remove the numbers that are configured by default in digit barring option 1. Also the Basic function was set from All barred to All free.This resolved my issue.

Hi all,
Request your help on this issue . I have been reported and i have personally noticed that the outgoing calls from ISDN PRI suddenly stops  working automatically once in a while. At first i thought it was something related to the permission set but later found out its not. Here i have only 2 permission sets configured which are 1 and 2 .1 is for unrestricted external access and 2 is no external access . This outgoing issue resolves when i restore the back up of previous day from the back up files stored inside the Mitel communication server.This system's release was previously a 4.1 HF1 which i upgraded to 4.1 HF4 . This was thought as a one off issue when we were reported the first time 3 months back. But in a span of 3 days this issue got repeated twice and every time iam just restoring a previous day's back up or a manual back up from the same date. Can anyone please help?

Hi all,
Request your help in resolving the SMDR issue in Mite A-470.I have programmed the settings in charges>general but can't get any raw data when i connect to Mitel A-470 using Tera term(equivalent of Hyperterminal).I type in the IP of Mitel and port no 1080 but not receiving any data. I tried the same using putty but no result there too.For your information i have enclosed the screenshots of the SMDR settings in Mitel.Please help me.

Hi Ralph,
You guessed it right. Its indeed from the Conference Bridge Service Provider .I called into the same Conf bridge number from another PBX(Siemens Hipath 3550) and did the same activity(Mute/unmute the handset and check) and found calls got disconnected after 2 minutes when the phone was kept on mute. I have now asked the customer to either raise a ticket or take up this issue with the Conference Bridge Service Provider .

Thank you for replying.If the mute key is lit then the disconnection happens after 2 mins.If there is no mute then the cal will continue.

Wanted to add some more information

Note :
Upon observation we have found that when we turn on the mute key on the IP phones then this disconnect happens If not muted then the call lasts and doesn't disconnect.  This issue is happening only for outbound calls to the conference bridge.All other calls are working fine irrespective of turning on the mute key or not. We also observed that while being mute on a conference bridge call if we press any key then the call gets extended by another 2 minutes before getting disconnected.

Hi all,
We have a Mitel 3300 CX with rls 8.0 pr1 active sw load 14.0.0.91 .One PRI and 4 analog trunks . There are no issues of disconnection whatsoever for local or long distance calls. However, when we make a call to an International Conference Bridge (in UK) we observe a random disconnection of calls after being in conference for two minutes and getting a fast busy tone and "time out" on the display.  We have taken traces earlier on an extension which experienced this disconnection issue.Here it is :

We couldn't figure out from where this disconnection was happening from these traces. Can anyone please help us to understand and make changes in Mitel controller (if any) accordingly  ?

Update :
Seems that the Master itself allocates the Media resources for both the systems even when Satellite shows no media resources allocated.As on date the AIN set up is working but only suggestion to Mitel is to work on for a solution on how to stop Satellite system from rebooting automatically twice whenever the link to Master is down and also when the link is up. Though the Satellite works good as an individual system but that's time bound to 36 hours. Wish Mitel can solve these issues.

Dear Zoran(Zoo),
I have replaced CPU1 with a new one ,applied the expansion and AIN licenses and made the system as Master .I have also entered the required details (IP address of Master) in the Satellite system.Both the systems are now connected via AIN .But the problem i face is that
the extensions of both the systems don't talk to each other.I observed one thing which is that the Satellite system doesn't allow me to make any changes in Media resources tab where we allocate the VOIP channels.This happens when the Satellite is communicating to the Master.In Private networking>AIN >general i can see that Satellite is in connected state with the Master and Master also shows the same at the other end.Is there any other settings apart from this which needs to be programmed? Could you please help me get through this?

Hi,
We have 2 Mitel MiVoice A-470 systems which we tried to network through AIN. The AIN along with expansion license has been applied on the Master system and we have configured the Master's IP on satellite system .We are facing an issue where we are not able to allot media resources (VoIP channels) on Satellite system. Due to this no calls are getting on both sides. I have provided the screenshots taken from both Master and Satellite systems for your reference.Since this is a first install for me so can you please provide guidance ?I have followed the technical document which i got from Mitel site but of no help.Did someone had practically experienced this issue and resolve it?

Thank you so much dear Zoo(request you to plz let me know your real name) for replying.Now the only option that I have is to swap the CPU of the satellite system with another one that doesn't have expansion license and apply for expansion license on the Master system which has AIN license mapped to its EID.
