SIP On Mitel / G722 on Mitel 5320

I'm trying to use G722 on Mitel 5320 in SIP mode
Mitel tech info about this phone say it supports G722
When I go to the Web GUI of the phone I see in the list of codecs G722.1

The problem is that when I select it the web page just reloads and then the codec get switched to G711

Any idea what could be the problem ? Anyone was able to use G722 in SIP mode on these phones ?

Of course I switched back to SIP
I even connected it to my PBX using config files on TFTP server

But there is almost no web gui (only one page with TFTP server config and very basic SIP settings).
From what I sow till now in different forums I expected to see much more.

I do understand what needs to be done, but I wasn't sure about the version jump.

Anyway I already tried  this method on one of the phones a couple of hours ago and it worked fine.

But I'm still a bit confused. After everything was done I got a new logo and the legal notice at the bottom of the screen during boot now say 2016, but the version is 6.xxxx
I thought that the latest version available was supposed to be 8.xxx ?

Thanks a lot I sow that tread, but I'm afraid that because I have a very old version my phones won't upgrade properly to the version on that system.
So ideally I'm looking for all the versions from 5 to the latest and will do TFTP upgrade "jumping" only from one version to the next one.
