MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Mitel Feature - Forward to Cell Phones
« on: February 04, 2019, 04:06:37 PM »
I knew this was going to be troublesome :)

What is STAR and DEE?

Do you have links to resources for those terms?

I definitely need to read up... this system has been around for too long and I only manage it as is, we haven't really had a need to expand it until now and I don't really know a whole lot about it. Guess it's time to start!

Thanks for the info!

As the schedule changes... this could be an issue. The schedule may change multiple times a day. Does this mean I have to log in to update the destination number each time (schedule runs 24/7). Could this not be done another way, possibly automatically? Maybe I misunderstood?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Mitel Feature - Forward to Cell Phones
« on: February 04, 2019, 10:16:08 AM »
We're getting ready to have a HELPLINE number transferred to our Phone Service. That HELPLINE number will be the main line for folks to call in looking for informatoin.

When a person calls that number, the ring in should automatically FORWARD the call to a Case Workers cell phone. At the moment, we have 3 case workers. Depending on the schedule will determine who is on call to receive the forwarded call. This may eventually grow to 12 case workers.

Is this feature provided or achievable in the Mitel 5000 system (DB Programming Version 6.1.4.57)

Can I have 3 cell phones (not associated with the Mitel System (these are Verizon based cell phones with individual lines)), depending on the schedule of the case worker, "log on" to the, I assume, Hunt Group and when someone calls the Main Line HELPLINE, that call is forwarded to the case worker's cell phone that is on call.

I feel that the cell phones pose an issue as they won't be integrated into the Mitel system (is there a way to do that?). I may have to use the UCA to forward the to the cell phone, giving each case worker an extension to be part of the Hunt Group and such?

Any thoughts or ideas on this?

I have an IP Phone (Mitel 8622) that show "1 New Message" on its display, however, the mailbox for the user and extension of that phone is empty.

Any ideas on how to resolve this or find out which extension that mailbox belongs to?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Hunt Groups - Forward To Main Office Line
« on: November 06, 2018, 09:24:36 AM »
We currently have a Hunt Group setup where users activate there participation in the Hunt Group by dialing a code (322). This sets up their phone to receive calls made to the Hunt Group. The next day, another member of the group will activate their phone, it all depends on which of the 10 members of the group is "on call" in the office.

We ran into a situation yesterday where ALL participants had deactivated their phone, meaning no one was setup in the Hunt Group, no one was receiving calls. When dialing the Hunt Group extensions (2014), the person dialing receives a busy signal.

Is there a way to forward calls made to the Hunt Group to possibly another Hunt Group (receptionist's group) if all participants have deactivated their use of the Hunt Group?

I guess we want people calling in to be able to reach someone (receptionist) other than a busy signal.

Thanks!

Adding the ports did the trick!!!
Thank you all very much!!!!

The version is Mitel MiVoice Office 250 6.1.57.0.

Do you happen to know the ports? We've set the teleworker address to our public IP and some different things happened, but still trying to contact to the server. Do you know what the ports are for this phone? Our current firewall is very simple. Nothing is even explicitly setup for the current 8266 phones... they just work :)

@Acejavelin... the extension was setup appropriately. The new 5330 phone was added via Mac Address and setup with a new extension. I don't have much under the "NAT" type other than Native or NAT. I's currently on NAT.

I went ahead and replaced the broken 8266 with a new one... it will be delivered next week and should work. On the 8266, when I configure the phone, I'm asked to enter a IPRC IP Address. The IP Address I enter is the public facing IP Address on our network that routes to our Phone System internal IP.

The terminology on the 5330 is different. It doesn't ask for an IPRC IP address, it asks for four different IP addresses:

the phone IP (which I have)
an ICP IP Address
an IPA Address
an TFTP SVR IP Address

I put the public facing IP Address under the ICP address, but that didn't work. It just sits there trying to contact the server. I'm guessing that I just have the public IP address in the wrong spot... was hoping you all could help answer which spot it goes into :)

But, the replacement 8266 should be here next week, we'll just use what we are familiar with. :)

I guess my question is, how do I configure the

So, I got the wrong phone? Going from the 8622 to the 5330 was the wrong choice?

The 5330 does work within the office network. I've tested all 3 that we have. You're saying I cannot send this to an outer office and get it to connect back to office using our public facing IP address?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Mitel 5330 IP Phone Remote Settings
« on: July 13, 2018, 09:27:05 AM »
We have a remote office that uses a different ISP for its internet connection. The office contains a single user and a single Mitel 5330 IP Phone.

The old 8622 IP phone finally failed and was replaced with the Mitel 5330. I sent the phone down with the user, forgetting to set the settings to make it talk back to our Remote IPRC IP Address.

With her on the phone, I tried going through the settings with her. We got this far and now I need some assistance with the settings as they seem to be a little different than the 8622 settings.

Rebooting the phone and holding the 8 button brings up the Configure Phone options.

I'm looking for where to put the Remote IPRC IP Address, the IP Address that hooks back to our network so the phone can be part of the network we have. I don't see Remote IPRC IP in any of the settings (it does show up in the 8266 phone configuration).

Any assistance on this? Above, any of the blank settings are blank on the phone as well. I assume they aren't necessary?

Thank everyone!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Mitel 5340 Setting IP Address
« on: July 03, 2018, 04:12:01 PM »
How do I do this on these phones? I'm only asked to enter Teleworker Gateway. Nothing more. I have a phone in an offsite location that requires specific IP Address information and I also need to set the location for our Remote IPRC.

What am I missing here? Should be simple, right? Am I entering the wrong configuration on boot up (I'm pressing the 7/8 buttons to get in to programming).

Thanks everyone!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Hunt Group Issues
« on: June 21, 2017, 02:07:18 PM »
So, if I understand this correctly...

I create a HG and add the Extension List (Hunt Group Members) to the Members folder. I then have to walk around to each phone and press 323 to complete the add? That's what worked and I have no issue with that... just seems like the "Accept Hunt Group Calls" should be default.

Again, hitting 323 on each phone did the trick, so thank you for the assist!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Hunt Group Issues
« on: June 21, 2017, 12:23:20 PM »
Within the MiVoice Office 250 system, I have a Hunt Group created. It's extension is 2007. When calls come into a specific phone number, it routes (via the Call Routing Table) to extension 2007. That Hunt Group has 3 members which are all in an Hunt Group Members extension, P0010. P0010 is listed under the Members section of Hunt Gorup 2007.

The issue is that only one phone rings when the main number is dialed. I need all the phones to ring simultaneously. Is that possible? What are the settings needed to make that happen? I have other Hunt Groups that work in this desired fashion, so there must be a setting somewhere that is off.

Thank you!

Mitel Software Applications / Re: UCA Chat History
« on: October 10, 2016, 07:46:06 AM »
From the Mitel Application:
Mitel Unified Communicator Advanced: Version 5.0.27.0

From the MAS server (vmware appliance)
Kernel Version   2.6.18-308.4.1.el5PAE (32 bit)
Distro Name   Mitel Standard Linux
ServiceLink   V9.4-28.0   installed   Mitel Standard Linux release marker
Mitel UC Server   V5.0.28.0   installed   Mitel Unified Communications Server
MVF   V1.0.9.0   installed   Mitel Virtualization Framework

We seem to be a bit outdated?

I was able to login to the computer the user was using and pull up her instance of Mitel. I right-clicked on the person she was chatting with and was able to pull up some chat history that way. I just can't believe this isn't saved somewhere on the VMWare appliance (I was told it was).

If anyone can shed some light on where that is, that would be helpful.

Thanks!
