I'm trying to get some Plantronics/Poly headsets to work with the 6900 series phones. The headsets work by means of passing audio to the headset, but they won't operate the hook switch. I have a Plantronics CS520 with the APU-76 and a 6940. Plantronics says this is the correct cable for compatality, but I don't see the CS520 listed on the official Mitel list, only the CS540. I've also tried the Voyager 5200 UC with the cable and it functioned the same as the CS520. Audio worked just fine, but couldn't control the hook switch. I tried to pair the headset to the phone directly but after pairing it to the phone it wouldn't actually connect. It kept failing when trying to connect.

Does anyone have any recommendations with the Plantronics/Poly headsets and the 6900 phones? We have quite a bit of Poly headsets and I'd like to get these fully functional if possible.

This happens here randomly as well. I've found just rebooting the phone seems to fix it about 98% of the time.

We've been trying to use soft phones with more people working from home but we're having some issues. The MGB is in DMZ mode, I have all the ports open based on the documentation but I can still only get the soft phone to work with teleworker turned off and the PC/cell phone connected to VPN. We have desk phones that have been connected via teleworker for over a year now with no issues. Mitel says its being blocked in the firewall, but I don't see anything in the logs of anything being blocked. Does anybody out there use Forinet firewalls and use the soft phones via teleworker?

Just an update.

We upgraded the controllers to v9 SP3 the other night. I found a way to block actual numbers, but is there a way to require a number? Can I block all calls that don't have a valid caller ID? I also forgot to mention previously we're using NuPoint 19.1.1.102.01 as well.

So a couple months ago we started getting random calls on numbers that were being spoofed that seemed to be robo calls, but they were playing porn on the call. The calls would come in and if you hung up before the clip was finished, it would call back until it finished. Then the calls just showed up as PRI on the caller ID and nothing shows up in SMDR, OAISYS, or Contact Center. I created an auto attendant for this number to try to stop the robo calls and it seemed to help for about 2 months then they started up again. I checked all the call routing, forwarding, and speed calls to see if they were calling another number and getting to that hunt group, but found nothing. Is there anything else I can do to help these ladies from hearing porn on the phone for 15-20 minutes a day?

The users are using 6920 phones and the controller is a 3300 on v8.

I had the same issue with my new 6940. I had it for about 2 weeks, maybe, and every time I picked up the handset it would say the battery was low even though the light on the handset would indicate it was fully charged. I tried disabling the Bluetooth, rebooting the handset, reconnecting the battery, repairing the handset, and rebooting the phone while the handset was off. Nothing improved it until I had my partner replace it. Since then it's been fine. So might be a bad batch of batteries from the manufacturer.

Agreed, it's not terrible. But I'd just rather do it once than 6 times with all 8 holidays. Thanks for the input!

We use the MiCollab NuPoint and have about 25 auto attendants. Luckily, most of these don't use a schedule, but about 5 or 6 of them do. Is it possible to either add a single schedule to multiple auto attendants or maybe export a schedule and import to another auto attendant? We've got 11 holidays I have to put in along with any days we're closed or have modified hours due to weather, and it sure would be nice to only do all those dates once.

Thanks for the reply guys. With this setup there isn't an MBG setup for that recorder. We have a MBG setup for our Oaisys recorder, but not for this one. Their recorder is doing all the SRC I'm assuming. They set it all up then asked me why it wasn't working.

First thing i would check is to see if the phones are using the SRC server as their call server.

Because the phone are peer to peer you need to have them direct all their traffic to the SRC if you want them recorded.

Where do I check this?

I've got a 3300 that we use for public safety and they upgraded their call recorder called Higher Ground. The call recorder is now using SRC instead of an analog tap. We mirrored the port for the controller to the four ports used by their servers and so far we're getting all calls that are external. However, calls between extensions are not being recorded. We had an old version of Oaisys that was setup this way and the internal calls were recorded, but I'm not sure if that was a specific option in Oaisys or if it was a setting in the controller. Any ideas of what I need to check to make sure the controller is setup correctly?

Is there a log that can be pulled for the 3300 that shows what FACs were used and by which extension? Our voicemail hunt group was placed in DND and I'm trying to figure out how.

We actually just upgraded our console and are using a Plantronics wireless headset. Worked great for about 2 weeks then all of a sudden it was doing the exact same thing. She said no matter what they did on the console they couldn't hear anyone through the headset. I went over there assuming they had just put the audio on mute on the computer itself accidentally because of the hotkey on the keyboard but when I showed up it was working correctly. They ended up power cycling the headset dock and it came back up. Almost like the drivers for the headset crashed and never started back up but power cycling it got them going again. We only use the one console so I can't say if it's a common thing.

Thanks for the reply Ralph. Yesterday we discovered something. The mailbox in question doesn't transfer to the speed call if it's extension is dialed internally. However, we've discovered if the mailbox is called via it's DID it transfers to the speed call as it should. So when the partner was testing it it always worked because they were always calling in externally. We weren't calling the DID so it didn't work.

As to your questions the only one I can answer at this time is number 5. I've tried it with the box checked and with it not checked. Didn't change anything. I'll get the other info after my meeting.

We are in the process of implementing NuPoint and we're starting to build auto attendants. This one in particular uses a system speedcall to transfer the call to an automated credit card system that's hosted by a vendor. I can call the DID associated with that speedcall and it goes to the proper place. I can call the extension and it works as it should. If I put that extension in as the blind transfer it says it's not available. I've added the speedcall to all 3 of the controllers and verified NuPoint is pointing at the correct controller.

Our partner was able to get it working yesterday, but today it's not functioning again. As far as I know nothing has changed between yesterday and today.
