THANKS!

I used a RJ45, created a loop back and confirmed there were no issues with Mitel.
The issue was with the ADTran 908E - the unit worked, the configs were good, but the ports were fried.

The logs were showing an error, but it was hard to track down, but the loop back simply proved that the Mitel worked, with no errors, then we were able to focus on the PRI provider's equipment!

THANKS!

There are too many different logs to see that all seem to have some reference to this:

which one is best?

and can the pri card just "go bad"?

Inter-Tel Mitel 5000 T1/E1 PRI 580.2700 Primary Interface Module REV AR

I installed a PRI about 30 days ago.
There was a storm. It knocked the area off line.
(not just us - several blocks)

The PRI will not come back up.
The PRI provider says their equipment is ok.

What log(s) do I look at, and how can I tell anything about
System Alarm 114

Do I need a new card?

Thanks - awesome input on the call routing.
(The provider told me it was the last 4 digits, but it is not working - That is next)

Here is what I have done:

I did setup a PRI group, and created an ID for each circuit. I added them all to the PRI group.
The DAY and night list ALL phones, however the phones are only ringing in the main group (I have 4 separate departments)

Other than the call routing tables - are there any other specifics to ear-mark the incoming lines?

I have 1 phone out of the group I am trying to send any and all numbers to directly, so I simply put the phone in instead of a group.
I assume I can do this either way?

If my above assumptions are correct: which option do I need in the routing table setup:
Pattern = number of incoming phone line?
Single = single phone - or group
Extension list = an existing extension list (which I am not using)
Call Routing Table - I don't understand this - does it refer to another list in this same setup?
DISA - what is this?
Collected digits - I assume this is for numbers entered after the phone is answered - is there any type of message?

Note: when moving items to the CO trunk list - I see the option to move "B" list - but I also see the option to move DID, but no where  else do I find this option.

Where do I find or add numbers to a DID?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Mitel 5000 PRI DID Setup
« on: March 15, 2016, 05:31:49 PM »
I need to know where to setup my DID with my PRI.

A PRI has 23 channels, but we have 28 phone lines.

We were using POTS - (Plain Old Telephone Service -Analog)

I can see the new pri phone numbers - but it is taking the channels, and I would like to setup DID with each line.

When I do into System>Trunk Related>Call Routing>1

There is nothing there, so I proceed to setup new routed (based on different support I have seen and gathered)

However, I have tried "Single" - and routed it to an existing group - It does not ring the group.
I have tried a specific phone - and it does not ring there.
I have tried Collected extension, but it won't allow entry of any groups.

Currently is is ringing in the original - main group setup.
I have yet to remove my POTS programming - but I do not believe it could be working there???
but I can not find anywhere in the programming the word "DID" for Direct Inward Dialing

How do I set this up for a specific phone - and/or a specific group.

I am waiting on them to login to add our new phone license,
but these means for all of eternity I have to use them to add more phones?
Can I not use another dealer and give him the serial # info ?

I would love to use my current dealer, but he is unavailable until the 18th,
and each time I have needed something it has taken days for a response.
(There have been reasons, but like belly buttons, we all have reasons for whatever...)

Thanks for your reply!

I am looking for support for my Mitel 5000 phone system.
Our dealer does not return calls or email very timely...
I do not wish to "bash" anyone, but looking for alternatives.

We would like to purchase a PRI card and change from analog to PRI service.
We have purchased a phone and a license (we have the phone) - and cant get the license working.

I know we don't have to have someone local, but I am in the Little Rock arkansas area.
Send me a phone number - and I'll call for more information.

I would also chime in and say that the majority of the systems programming can be done via the "Admin" phone, which is usually extension 20 on the system. (Unless someone changed it.)
Extension 20 as with all of the extensions on the base set make the statement programming not possible should I assume this means my only option would be with the cable mentioned in the first reply?

the mitel 3000 doesn't connect to an ip network. if you have ip phones then you will need a broadband module. why do you want it connected to an ip network?
I have a fiber optic cable running to another building that I would be unable to run phone lines to. Our computer network runs through the fiber optic cable so if I can use data for broadcast the phone system over the network that would be grand. In a different business we own a Mitel 5000. I know they are two completely different systems and 5000 is much better but without a budget I am wondering if it would work over the network at all even if I can find a used card if one exists.

Our school was given a Mitel 3000 system.

What is a good resource to reset the programming to factory default and then begin adding names etc

Also it is missing the network card is there a resource where I can purchase one and added to the system?

And before anyone says we could use it for an upgrade our current phone system is over 30 years old... and while I would prefer to do so this at least puts us a decade or two ahead of where we are now if there is any way to resurrect this system.

If I plug phone lines in it works the user names are just in the system Bob Joe and Phil aren't exactly Sue Sally or Kelly

I would like to customize it at least a little bit with the phone directory and possible voicemail...

THANKS
