We are adding 12 SIP viking panic buttons (PB-3-IP) (that will contact an internal ring group) to our MXE III 9.2 system and will be adding additional licenses for those.

We want to add licenses as cost effective as possible, so with the choice of single line, IP user or Multi Device Users, which one would be the best?

Thanks!

I have added a Multi-user extension that is designated to hot dial a different extension when the handset is lifted. I registered a Mitel 5302 with the extension but the 5302 ignores the hot dial. If I register a different phone (6930) the hot dial function works fine.

I also noticed when I dial another extension from the 5302 phone, there is a couple of second delay before it dials the extension.

I have hot dial working on different extensions on the system, including a couple of 5304s, but this is the 1st time I have tried it with a 5302.

No, but it was suggested that I turn on codec 722 filter and I did that this AM.

After about midday yesterday, it hasn't happened (not to where anyone's reported it anyway) and neither I or my coworkers effected any network changes...so who knows...

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiVB 9.2 MXIII curious about 6940W
« on: October 29, 2024, 01:09:23 PM »
I was wondering what it takes to support a 6940W phone on 9.2 firmware.

I looked at one of our phones and it doesn't show a field for 6940W, but I have no idea if it needs different software or licenses to support the wireless phone.

Thanks, Jim

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiVB 9.0 MXE III raid question

On the MXE III raid array, is drive one in the bottom slot?

Thanks, Jim

We are implementing new MIR software in our environment using trunk-side recording. Even then, I was of the understanding that the extension being recorded would have to be in the extension list and once there all external traffic to those station would be recorded.

My coworker thinks there are key prompt the station owner can do to allow or block recording on their extensions, and I don't recall hearing about that in the training.

This is the new non-oasis platform Mitel has gone to, so I'm just beginning to learn it.

We have a MiVB 8.0 and were going to upgrade to 9.1, but the audit tool says that the 5020 extensions for the voicemail port for the NuPoint VM (release 16.0) aren't supported. Nupoint 16.0 apparently only uses the two extension types not supported.

I have looked about and I haven't really found anything definitive about whether NuPoint release 18.0 will work with MiVB 9.1.

Has anyone had experience with this combo?

Our local County Sheriff dispatchers often transfer calls from incoming caller to officers and sometimes they perform a blind transfer and the blind transfers work flawlessly, but if they stay on the call with the other parties and another call comes in when they leave the call they say it drops the other parties.

When I worked for my local telco, I'm sure I knew this (retired four years ago)...but what is the procedure for them to quickly exit the call to answer another call?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / find SIP extensions in MiVB 8.0
« on: November 06, 2023, 10:50:59 AM »
I've seemed to have gone brain dead...I am wanting to locate the extensions on a system that are SIP.

I was thinking there was a SIP category under the Advanced Config, but I don't see it and I didn't seem to be able to locate SIP extensions under maintenance commands.

Is there a way to locate extensions by SIP category?

I was able to solve the issue from another forum.

Mitel HO2643 settings solved my issue of busy on answer.

I disabled T.38 to no effect internally or externally...far end answers with fax response, I get a busy signal and the call drops.
