Mitel Software Applications / Adding MS Access as a Data provider
« on: May 03, 2019, 07:43:20 AM »
I'm trying to add MS Access as a data provider in YSE, but there's not an option.
I have read the help notes and it says you can add access as an ODBC connection.

How do you do this and where would you save the database.

Thanks.

Mitel Software Applications / Mitel version 8

We are just about to upgrade from Mitel 7.1 to Mitel 8. Does anyone know the advantages of upgrading? Thanks.

I'm trying to record how many times each outbound number is dialed after calls have been answered from a particular queue. I know this can be done by looking at an Agent Group Outbound Trace report, but unfortunately the agent group the queue is going to make outbound calls already and I just want to know the outbound information from one particular queue. Any ideas anyone????

Managed to fix this by setting up a new branch in our management callflow. Basically it does a database look up to see if there's already a message on the IVR (true or false on database). If there is a message then the caller is given the option to remove. It then does a 'swap' activity and replaced the recorded message prompt with a blank prompt. If there isn't a message on the IVR then we did a record prompt activity and a swap activity to replace the blank prompt in the IVR to the recording that was just done. There's a little bit more to it than this, but that's the gist of it. Thanks all for your contributions.

I'm currently setting up an IVR for an IT Helpdesk and want to include a message at the start of the IVR that will state any current outages (thus stopping hundreds of calls coming through when there's a major incident).
I'm trying to come up with a way of recording the message (through the management IVR) and then auomatically playing this though the IT Subroutine.
It will be the IT helpdesk themselves who will be recording the message, so they won't be able to access Mitel YSE.

Any suggestions would be grately appreciated. If I could get the message saved into the 'Custom' folder, instead of the 'recording' folder that would probably do the job, but don't know how to do this.

Cheers.

Mitel Software Applications / Outbound IVR using 4 ports
« on: October 15, 2015, 04:29:35 AM »
I have created a call flow that continually checks a database for new entries. If there is an entry, it updates the record to show that the call is in progress and then calls the destination that is held as part of the database record. Problem is that the ports are all accessing the call flow at the same time. I've altered the database options so that it updates every second, but the ports (usually 2 at a time, but sometimes 3 or even 4) access the database at the same time and therefore more than one port is calling the same destination number.
I've tried everything to resolve this and I'm now at my whits end.
Is there anyway of stopping a port calling out if a call is already underway to the same destination, or can the ports be set to have a delay?

Many thanks - any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. :-[

I'm not setting a timer. The outbound workflow is automatically checking for new records, the problem is that sometimes 4 ports are checking at the same time. If it was only one port then there wouldn't be a problem. e.g all 4 ports will check the workflow at 12:15:46, all see that there is a new record in the database and then all call the destination number. The database takes a second or 2 to update and therefore the database isn't updated in time to stop the next port calling out.

I'm creating an IVR Call flow in your site explorer. Apologies if I've posted this question on the wrong forum.
