Good Morning,

When hitting a voicemail box, I want to be able to disable the options within any particular mailbox.

For example, I have a DID pointing to a message only, extension type mailboxes. If I press 1 or any other option that is programmed as part of the auto attendant the call is transferred to what ever options is chosen. I want to be able to disable the ability to press any option during the recording then only be able to leave a message.

Any help would be great.

Blue - I appreciate the suggestion. I tried it and it didn't work.

The only other thing I was able to find out is that one specific DID has this issue. I point a different DID to the same mailbox and it hits the correct voicemail, I point the (bad DID) to a different mailbox and it has the same issue where it the auto attendant picks up versus the users voicemail box.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

So I am on a what I believe is the newest version of the MCD

In Call Handling -----> Direct Inward Dial -----> the DID is pointing to extension. The phone rings ( the extension is actually ringing) and after 4 ring the auto attendant is picking  up versus the users voicemail box.

In Call Handling------> Call Rerouting--------> 1st Alternate and 2nd Alternate are both pointing to the 6000 which if the mailbox for that extension

The funny thing is thou is that when I point Always alternative to voicemail it goes directly to the auto attendant and not the users voicemail box. (Strange)

If I call the extension within the phone system it rings the extension, then it is routed to the correct voicemail box. It seems to only be inbound numbers calling with outside the network.

Good Morning,

I have a situation, where the DID for the extension is ringing to auto attendant after busy no answer. If you call the extension internally it goes to the correct voicemail.

Call routing is point to the extension and busy no answer is pointing to user voicemail box.

Tried setting up a name tag to force the calls to go to users voicemail box, no luck.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Good Morning,

So I tried using all the technician function codes and nothing worked. What did work was creating a new hunt group. Not sure why but that did remove the message before hitting the AA.

Good Morning,

I am working with a 3300, a call is pointing to a hunt group, the call routing for busy/no answer is pointing to the auto attendant (6000). When the call gets redirected to the AA I am getting a this person is unavailable message before the call goes to the auto attendant. Any suggestions?

There is a way to get the call to go directly to the VM for 1000. You will need to create a Name Tag hunt  group extension #1000 then point the call to the hunt group and the call will go directly to voicemail. when you create the name tag hunt group you will need to use the # sign in front of the extension. In other words, the #1000 will be the extension of the NTHG you create and point it to VM then point the overflow or call rerouting to the #1000 the calls goes directly to VM. It have actually made this work before.

I could find a topic about this question so forgive if there is one. I understand that the day greeting and the night greeting share the same auto attendant. Is there anyway to disable the ability to dial extensions from night mode?

So I have a question that is sort of related to this question. When the phone is off hook, I get a dial tone for about 15 seconds then it auto dials to the operator or an extension. I have looked in the associated directory number and nothing is set to hot line, also this happens from any phone that is off the hook. Any ideas? Thanks
