Mitel 5000

customers are calling into our company, but we have 3 brands and we would like to answer the phone accordingly.  what do we need to do this?

For example:

1-800-555-1111  ABC Company
  When a customer dials this ABC company # above can ABC company show up in the caller ID, so that our employees answering the phone call can say 'Hello, thank you for calling ABC company'. 

1-800-555-2222  XYZ Company

1-800-555-3333  EFG Company

Or are we going about this all wrong and we can buy equipment that can make this happen?

hello,

we have the ability to send VM to email.  everything works fine.  However we are changing email servers and I need to know where in DB Programming to look.  can someone tell me exactly where this is located?  thanks

turning off dynamic ext helped a little bit:

Scenario 1:

if I'm on a local phone call with someone else here in the office ie x4325 and someone else from x4399 calls me it will ring busy (great!).

However if I'm on a local phone call with someone else here in the office ie x4325 and someone external calls me from ie. 212-555-1212 it will just keep ringing.  :(

Scenario 2:

if I'm on a external phone call and someone calls me locally is will have a busy signal (great!)

Scenario 3:

If I'm on an external call and someone else calls me externally it will keep ringing.  :(

solved half my issue, thank you, any other suggestions?

Like I was saying, I want the busy signal so people know I'm on the phone.  I've tried many different combinations messing with the Flags but nothing seems to work.  I have the exact same flags as another user yet their busy signal works?

1) I have a user named Sue on her Mitel phone talking with an external user.  She receives another inbound call to her DID and the caller gets a busy signal and it doesn't go to Sue's VM.

2) Also on my Mitel phone, I'm usually on the phone with a local user who just dials my 4-digit extension, I actually want a busy signal so other people know I'm on the phone but it just keeps ringing.

Does anyone know how to implement the busy signal while a user is on the phone.  Some users love this feature while others do not.  I want to know exactly where I set this.  I tried searching this forum and I was surprised I didn't find anything.  Exact location would be great.  :)

Hey guys,

On the back of my Mitel 5000 on Bay 4 we have 'Ports 1-2' and 'Ports 3-4' (pic attached).  We had a tech come out and he was able to split the lines on 'Port 1-2' so we could get two of our analog phones working (we now have working analog phone numbers for both lines ie. 212-555-1212 and 212-555-2222).  I would like to do the same thing on 'Port 3-4'.  I using a rj-11 splitter and it seems to work.  I get a dial tone and I can send a fax outbound. However I can't see which phone number it's using/coming from.  How do I configure this?  We do have extra at&t analog lines that we are paying for and can use.  Do I have to manually configure this in the the Mitel 5000 somewhere?

dwayneg, thanks, however it only goes back 1 day.  is there any way to go back further or change this setting so I can record more data.

does anyone know a command to check the history logs?  seems like this wouldn't be that difficult.

there was a time when we were getting hacked by someone in France and we could see the ip information.  this is why I want to access the history logs.  is there a way?

We have a Mitel 5000 system, and we have a user that got a message on her Voicemail that someone tried to access her VM 3 times.  Is there a way to check this?  I was thinking it's within the 'System Output' > 'History Log' area.  However it only keeps records for today.  Is there a command I can use to see the history logs from yesterday?

I would like the busy tone to work when I'm on a phone call.  I have a user who has this feature working properly.  I copied all his Flags and all his System Forwarding to my extension but it still doesn't work.  If someone could give me the exact location of where to go in the Mitel 5000 to change this, it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
