Mitel Software Applications / Mitel UCA server chat history - delete and/or disable?

Good afternoon all,
When we were sold the Mitel 3300 system, we were told that chat history via the UCA chat client was not maintained by the server. I've been slowly getting more familiar with the system simply by exploration and discovered today that were misled - chat history is available for every single user from the day the system went live.
Our business is such that this could pose a liability risk to us in the event of litigation. Is it possible to delete the chat history collected by the server? Hopefully so. Is it also possible to disable chat history collection entirely from the MAS?
