Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: How to change time on Mitel 3300 - Free NTP Servers
« on: December 18, 2014, 02:23:12 AM »
Hi,
My experience with a Mitel Cx3300 controller, we have Cisco 7960 SIP enabled handsets connected to the PBX. The 7960 devices stopped showing the time. I then configured the Mitel to use a local NTP server on my network . I enabled NTP , inserted the correct IP , checked the time zone GMT+2 and saved it. We are based in Johannesburg South Africa.
I noticed the Mitel controller changed the time to -4 hours to what it should be. On closer investigation I changed the time zone to Africa/Johannesburg and saved it and the Mitel then displayed the correct time , as well as the Cisco handsets displaying the correct time as well.
Interesting GMT+2 is our correct time zone. If you check GMT+2 time , it is now 09:21am , the time I am writing this post.
Does the Mitel require that you select time zone/city?
lucky
