Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / DHCP Remote site
« on: February 02, 2016, 06:11:04 AM »
Hi All

Please go easy on me here as Mitel is not my forte... We have a remote site that connects back the main site using a gateway to gateway VPN connection, this is where our Mitel 3300 is located.  At the remote site we have 2 vlans, data and voice and one Cisco router 877.

We are upgrading our ADSL connection to BT infinity fibre broadband (VDSL) and we need to purchase Cisco cable Router.

my question is our current router hands out the following DHCP options...

ip dhcp pool DATA
   network x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0
   default-router x.x.x.x
   dns-server x.x.x.x
option 130 ascii "MITEL IP PHONE"
   option 132 hex 0000.0002
   option 133 hex 0000.0005
   netbios-name-server x.x.x.x
   netbios-node-type h-node
   domain-name e.g.com
!
ip dhcp pool VOICE
   network x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0
   default-router x.x.x.x
   dns-server x.x.x.x
   option 128 ip x.x.x.x
   option 129 ip x.x.x.x
option 130 ascii "MITEL IP PHONE"
   lease 30

But the Router I am looking at is the RV320 only provides, please see attached image...  So my question is will these DHCP options TFTP Server IP Address be enough for the phones to connect back to the controller?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.... or even recommending a different Cisco model..

Hi Everyone

System: Mitel 3300

Can someone please point me in the correct direction, we have a user with DDI and extension number.

His ddi is a speed call number pointing to his actual number.

The issue is, if he is busy or logout and someone tries to call him... they are transferred to reception

How can I stop this from happening, any ideas?

Thanks
John
