Uh..when I do that, I get a license error message on the phone when it boots and the system becomes unresponsive to DB Studio for around 30 minutes before I can start a successful session again. System is still up, and I can telnet to the CPU, but can't run DB Studio on it...This has been consistent response on two other systems that didn't have sufficient licenses for the IP endpoints as well...
Thanks

Here is the detail from the IPRC card in question. Not sure, but it looks as if this card is already below the v1.5 version...Is this maybe more a function of the overall system version?
Thanks

Version:  9.0.0

You are correct...it is an Axxess platform.
Is there a way to get licenses for the IP endpoints?
Thanks

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Inter-tel 5000 VoIP endstation licenses
« on: January 12, 2015, 08:40:45 AM »
All,
Is there any way to get IP endstation licenses for the Inter-tel 5000 systems? I have two different systems that have IPRC cards, but apparently no licenses installed.
Thanks!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Alarm monitoring on Inter-tel Axxess
« on: January 08, 2015, 08:43:49 AM »
Right now, I only see system alarms on the phone flagged as an administrator phone.
Is there any way to see alarms/system status in the DB Studio user interface?
Is there any way to get system alarms out on the network?
Which serial port is designated as the system alarm port?
Thanks all!
Obvious Inter-tel newbie...

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Call Trace in Inter-tel Axxess
« on: December 20, 2014, 09:26:33 AM »
Does anyone know if you can do the equivalent of a DMS100 "call traver" on the Inter-tel PBX?
I'd like to verify the path a call takes. Would prefer real-time, but a test trace would work too.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Mitel Software Applications / Corrupt DB files on Inter-Tel Data Manager
« on: December 16, 2014, 08:38:02 AM »
Our system seems to have two corrupt db files on the Data Manager application that can't be cleaned up with the tools in the application. Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this problem?
Data Manager release - 4.00.0110
Corrupt files - telroute.mdb and haday.mdb
Thanks,
Mark

Would we be able to retain any of the core hardware (linecards, T-1/PRI cards etc.)?
I'll follow up with Mitel to get them started on producing a migration plan for us...
Thanks again all,
Mark

We have:
VPU- Version 11.101 on Win2k connected to the ATM switch (Fore 200 BX) and the CPS
CPS server on Win2k3 that is connected to the CP via serial cables.
Inter-tel Data manager and Contact Center Monitor on a Win2k3
Can't give you too much detail on the CPS and VPU since I haven't found the logins yet...

I saw a little discussion about possible updates to the EOL Win2K platforms used on the 5000 system. Has there been any updates to that situation? I'm getting pressured by our IT folks to get the systems updated to a supported OS.
Thanks

When the phone boots, it can get the tftp server address (in our installation, it points to the CTI server) from the dhcp server and downloads its firmware, global config and specific phone config file (XXXXXXXXXXXXcfg.cfg where X's equal MAC of phone).  Ours are the 86XX series phones, but I presume the same will hold true for other models...
Sample details included below...

# This is a sample a MAC config file for an individual 8662/8662E V1 phone

# Axxess IP mode Settings

# IPRC's IP address

# This is the VLAN ID
vlanid: 100

# This is the PC port VLAN, not needed with our trunking setup
#dwnlnk_vlanid_1: 25

Global TFTP file:
# Any settings that the phone does not find in its
# device-specific configuration file, the phone will use
# the global configuration equivalent. If the setting is
# not in the device-specific file or the global file, the
# phone will not change its local setting.

# Commented lines are commented because we would rather
# pull the settings from the device-specific config file

The options for the vlans can also be set on the tftp server...
