How to resolve it, and what's causing the problem?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 3300 CX 10/100 LAN port
« on: September 05, 2012, 11:43:24 PM »
I have problems with the 10/100 LAN port on my 3300 CX controller. Without any cable plugged into the 10/100 port the two LED lights on that port are remain solid "on", and I could not access to the Controller by IP phone nor PC. The port seems dead, anyone has the same experience or know why, faulty 10/100 LAN port?

Both numbers(VM prime number and VM Hunt group number) have the same problem.

Mattmayn,

Thanks the reply. Yes, that number does have a VM box, and that's why if I only have one member on the VM hunt group the caller could be diverted to that VM box.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / CXi Embedded voicemail problem
« on: September 15, 2011, 10:24:43 PM »
Problem:
When dialing the Voice Mail access number or VM trunk pilot number from an IP phone, the call was not route to the IP phone voicemail box directly with the greeting message “Welcome… if you have a pass code you may enter it now”, but the call is being greet by the voice mail system “Thank you for calling, if you have a touch tone phone you may enter the extension number that you want to reach…..”

Scenario:
•   System CXi
•   Embedded voice mail system
•   Software Rls. MCD 4.1
•   Voice mail access number 899
•   Voice mail port number range 501 to 516

Observation:
I noticed the reason why I have to enter my extension/mail box number because when I call the Voice Mail access number or VM trunk pilot number, Mitel 3300 controller(may be the Embedded Voice Mail system) route me twice within the voice mail ports and that’s why on the second route the Mitel 3300 controller does not know I am calling from my own extension and asked me to enter the voice mail box number that I want to reach.

The problem would not happen, if I only have one member under this Voice Mail Hunt group.

Resolution:
Any recommendation or comment?

Ralph,

Thanks the reply. Access denied after I dialed the feature access code and any trunk number 2101 to 2123, actually the message shown on the IP phone is 'Invalid' but the strange thing is I can still able to dial out on this IDAP T1 to PSTN.

Thanks
Kenny

Ralph, Thanks the reply. It is double. I try to change the ring tone that the external call will hear when they call in my 3300ICP through the T1 PSTN trunks.

I want to change the ring tone of my Mitel 3300ICP so that external caller would receive a different ring tone from my 3300IPC when they call through PSTN T1 to my DID extensions.  :( :(
