Oh, it would also be nice to know what the latest IP Console software release is and where to download it from?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5550IP Console change
« on: April 05, 2017, 10:20:21 AM »
Hello,
We reinstalled the IP Console software on a windows server 2012 R2, it worked for a couple of days and the suddenly stopped working. Initially we blamed the new OS so we brought the old PC to life again and even that wasn't working, we soon realized that the IP console had suddenly stopped recieving and IP address (DHCP is the 3300). So now I have a new 5550 and it's recieving an IP address I also added a fixed ip address and I can ping the 5550. Running the configuration wizard everything seems to be fine, but it's just not connecting :(
Under "maintenance -> ip telephone telephone inventory -> all ip phones" I can see the 5550 as "out of service" with registration reason "uknown" and for some reason it's not showing the ip address either... any ideas?? (I've changed the MAC address with the new one under "users and devices->attendants->IP consoles").

Oh we have just the one (no clusters).

Thanks for any tips,
I'll just keep banging my head on my desk in the meanwhile.

James

Elevator is the minor problem and that's solved.

The main problem now is an analogue modem I need to connect that wants to dial out. I can't predial the whole number because it won't start connecting untill it here's the dialing tone, and if I predial the leading 0 the dialing tone is heard but all other numbers dialed on that line become "invisible" (as if they aren't dialed\pressed). And no leading number can be set on the modem because it won't dial until it hears the dialing tone.

Usually an elevator phone will dial out to just one number.
To make that work, set up a system speed dial to the number it needs to ring to.
Next use the associated directory number form to program the original extension to "hot line" to the system speed dial number.

Ralph

So this actually worked, with VOIP phones i pick and you can here the dial tone. Dial a number and it'll work. But doing the same on an analogue phone connected to the ASU picking up gives the dial tone but once you dial a number you get an error\hangup tone. The analog phone line is correctly set up because if I remove the associated directory number and type the leading 0 myself on the analogue phone it works.

I found this in the online help:

To provide for call restriction after CO dial tone (Optional):
1.   ARS Digits Dialed form:
Digits Dialed = blank
Number of Digits to Follow = unknown
Termination - route
2.   ARS Leading Digits form:
Second Dial Tone = Alternate

But in the ARS digits dialed form we can't insert blank (valid are 0-9,#,*,N,n,X,x,Y,y)

Thanks for your suggestions. This would be ok for the elevator case, but the other case is the phone company want to remote control one of their routers through an analogue connection and they would need to be able to dial out directly without leading digits

Hello everyone,
I need a couple of my internal numbers to call directly without having to put a leading 0 for outgoing calls. For example our elevator emergency button can't have leading digits configured. I've connected an analogue phone to one of the the analogue ports but picking up doesn't give the dialing tone, it needs a leading 0 first.

Thanks,
James

Ok, I'm now able to read the data :) I'm only getting report refresh data. I configured an ACD agent and tried to login but got a missing licence error :( Is there a single licence per user or a general server licence?

I've contacted my distributor anyway... I'm also trying to sniff the traffic from an old version of Your Assistant software I have running on an XP machine, anyone ever had any luck with that?

Thanks,
James

Could someone give me some help on creating a user agent and then accessing the ACD data? It would be an enormous help.

Thanks,
James

Thanks for the help you are giving me. I'm not quite there yet though, when i connect to that port all I can see is a lot of hex codes:
Code: [Select]
{02}29R08594520141001{03}{02}30R08594620141001{03}{02}31R08594720141001{03}{02}32R08594820141001{03}{02}33R08594920141001{03}{02}34R08595020141001{03}{02}35R08595120141001{03}{02}36R08595220141001{03}{02}37R08595420141001{03}
About one every second. I'm not asked to login at any point so how should I specify the user?

Thanks,
James

I might have not been 100% clear on my question. My question was more on the lines of how would i actually get to see the ACD data? Is it a particular port I can connect to? Do I need to do some configuration?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel 3300 logs on port 1752
« on: September 30, 2014, 04:03:12 AM »
Hello All,
I am reading all logs on port 1752 and logging them to a SQL database for statistics ecc. Now I would like to use this port (or something similar) to integrate some functions into a custom ticketing system we've developed. I would need the same information that I already have, except I need to know about who is calling who when the phone call starts and not when it ends. Obviously some data won't be available like phone call duration...
Is this just a setting somewhere? Can it be achieved?
Thanks for all suggestions,
James
