Firewall or proxy issue.

Assign static ip and use a small poe switch. Put only the phone and your computer.

Are you referring to the firewall that is build into the 6940 ?

The Vlan that my PC is on is different than the vlan that the phones reside on, that could possible the the issue.
I'll do a bit more digging around.

Hmm I'm still having issues
I've gotten the IP from the 6940 phone, I can ping the phone
However I'm getting no response when I try and use a browser to connect to that IP - I have tried both HTTP and HTTPS

I've tried changing the password in System Security Management from the default one to a different one.

I've tried rebooting the phone multiple times, I've tried scanning the IP for open ports and I am not finding any

Thank you everyone for helping me out with this

I located where it is configured
FYI in my case it is setup this way.

Call comes into the AA -> ext 390 which is a multicall without a device assigned to it.
I could not find any information in the reroute form

However a "Locate Number 390" in the maintenance command gave me an idea
"The number refers to a Non Prime Broadcast Group."

After a bit of googling I looked in Multiline Appearance Groups Form
And there was my reference between 390 and the receptionist phone

Not sure if anyone else will have this issue or not.
The only good thing that I noticed about this, is that it allows to have the main lines ring at multiple locations on the same cluster.

Well that was my first thought too
There is a system speed call from "0" -> "390"
But when I try to look at extension "390" in "user and Services Configuration" then it is not there, when I check "VM Mailboxes" then there is a mailbox for it - which sounds like it is the GM

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty sure this is a simple matter of me just understanding how a call flow works.

Scenario: Incoming calls rings at the reception, after they have listen to the GM greeting or they press 0
The reception does not have a console, but rather an 5324 phone which rings when there is either a call for her extension or when a call comes in through the main lines.

Now I was not part of the setup, and I cannot seem to locate any information that would explains how the calls are rerouted from the GM to a specific extension(s)
Does anyone have any good ideas as to where to look ?

Thanks
 Anders

« on: January 22, 2018, 11:56:41 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm having some issues with accessing a 6940 through the browser - and I am a bit stuck.
I have the IP of the 6940 Phone, and I have tried accessing it though both http and https
However it is not letting me access the phone - I have tried scanning the IP with NMAP for open ports, but everything is closed.

I have tried disabling the firewall on the Phone, still no luck.

I can ping the phone from my computer, no issue.

Now I am not sure if I need to enable something on the 3300, phone, COS etc
does anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks
Anders

The caller phone number is showing up on the VoIP phone when calling in
I'm not seeing anything that should prevent it being sent to SMDR

Hi Ralph,

you are correct I messed up the order of them - I have changed it in the original post.

But I guess I'm trying to get a record of who is calling in, and to whom the call went, me seeing that the source is T203 doesn't give me much information to go with.
So how do I find out who is calling in and getting T203 which is then getting picked up by ext 286 ?

I guess I am trying to get the original call number.

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone would be able to guide me in the right direction when it comes to reading the SMDR and figuring out why I'm unable to see which numbers outgoing calls are going to.
Example of an incoming call.
 07/27 10:52A 0000:00:03 T203     001 286                         286
                999
 07/27 10:52A 0000:00:10 T203     001 190 700                     703    X 286
                999

Example of an outgoing call
 07/27 10:51A 0000:00:06 286          xxxxxxxxxx                A T203
                999

As you can see on the incoming call I see nothing but our trunk lines.

Does anyone have any idea as to why that is ?

Thanks
Anders

Hi Everyone,

Is there a way of configuring Record A Call on both internal and external calls ?
Preferable without making use of 3rd party programs or configurations.

Thanks
Anders

Yeah I know you can do that, but correct me if I'm wrong - you can configure multiple profiles on your phone by doing -> SuperKey -> Call Forwarding -> Profiles -> New Profiles
For example I have 2 - one for forwarding to my cellphone and one to forwarding to one of my colleagues. But all of this is done on the phone
The one you see in the Call Forwarding Profile on the 3300, I believe is the Default one
