Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel 5610 DECT phones losing connection after phones are restarted

We have 7 5610 SIP cordless handsets working on 2 different base stations and they work perfectly well until you restart them.
After the restart you can't make an external call or receive a call it just says "user busy" on the screen. The only way I have found to fix the issue is to restart the base and wait for the phones to register again.
Any help would be appreciated
