Mitel Software Applications / Re: Multi User Device License Cost

I would think it depends upon being entry or standard.

This would allow staff to use Micollab via their laptop and cell phone app.  Guess that would be standard?

Mitel Software Applications / Multi User Device License Cost
« on: February 21, 2021, 10:07:52 AM »
Hi, All -

Wondering how much everyone typical pays for a Multi Device user license?  I see it available online for $160 and another site has it at $265. Quite a difference.

Yes, I get that but I was curious if Mitel has tools to determine who actually uses it.  These users demanded it at one time and are executives.  If I suspect they don't use it and pull the license back... boy would they be upset if they go to use it and doesn't work.  If I had something to tell me that the app on the phone was used for X minutes... or the app on the PC was used for X minutes, it would make this much easier.  If not, yes, I'll have to bump heads.

We have a process for Zoom for this.. If the user doesn't have any meetings that qualify for the Pro account over a month's time, we pull the license and bump them down to a free license.  This has saved us thousands.  Figured Mitel would have this feature, but I guess not.

Here is what I see... But I don't think it is what I need.  What I am trying to figure out is... if Micollab was setup for 10 people 4 years ago, if all 10 are actually using it.  My guess is that it has been abandoned and is no longer used.  I would like to pull back any unused licenses to assign elsewhere.. instead of buying more at $265 each.

in the Micollab V8 , you can have this information in micollab client services -> features - profiles

before V8 it's not possible.

Looking at this now.  Micollab Client Service on left hand side - "Configure Micollab Client Service"  under configuration - Features tab.

I see Feature Profiles and Licensed Feature Usage.  I clicked on the profiles and see seats available/used but I am not seeing who is actually using the software.  I think I may not be looking in the right spot.

Thanks

We have a huge demand from staff for a softphone while working from home.  Unfortunately, our licenses are maxed out.  The majority of softphones assigned are from those who have had them for years and our suspicion is that they are not being used.  Is there any monitoring or a way I can look to see who is and who isn't using their softphone?  I can then pull those back and assign to those who will use it.

Thanks

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Call Fowarding and Ring Groups
« on: February 17, 2021, 09:56:48 AM »
Hi All -

The IT team is overwhelmed with requests where staff needs their ring group/extensions forwarded.  In some instances, staff request that an entire ring group of 7 people is forwarded to a cell phone, for example.  Not best practices but we do as requested.

Optimally, we want staff to go to their extensions and setup the forward on their own... turn it off when they are back in the office.  These requests are due to inclement weather.  But, with this setup, ring group calls do not ring the cell phone.  Direct calls to the extension do forward to the cell phone.  Is that because multi user group licenses are required?  How can we forward the actual ring to a cell phone but calls to the ring group extensions do not fwd to the cell?  Trying to make this easy and efficient for everyone but running into dead ends.

Appreciate the help

Hi, All -

We have a ring group with 4 members and all have external twinning setup.  We want the calls to go to the internal voicemail system after 40 seconds (no one is available) and then the system will email to a shared inbox with the VM recording.  Instead, the system is randomly picking one of the cell phone numbers to leave the voicemail on.  I'm sure it's an easy fix but not sure what it is.

Thanks

SunSpark... You're right!  I completely missed it!  The DID was tied to some erroneous call flow from years ago that someone setup.  Thanks for the help.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Find the routing of a DID
« on: September 09, 2020, 03:43:46 PM »
Hi All -

I have a DID that is supposed to go straight to an extension 1234---->4321.  When I dial 1234 internally, it goes to 4321.  When I dial the DID that it's attached to 555-555-1234, it rings to a cell phone number.  There is nothing in call fwding or system speed dials.  Call fwding on the set is not enabled.  There are no multi device setups.  Nothing in call rerouting or DID Service....

I am confused as to how it's rerouting to the cell phone.  Anyway for me to trace it in maintenance commands?  Or any idea what could cause this?

Thanks

I don't think that's going to happen on a 3300.  If you program a Call Forward Always button on your device, it will show that it's forwarded but not where it's forwarded to.

Generally, we just set up speed dial buttons to forward to the target location.  Pressing the speed dial button will active the Call Forward Always button.  It Just doesn't show you where it's forwarded to.

Bummer!!  Would the only/best option be to use call forwarding profiles?  While it does the job, it requires more steps and I wanted to avoid that.  Thanks for your help.

The 3300 system I am working with does not work or have the options that the Youtube video has.  If I setup a call fwd always, it says that the directory number should be blank.

I could setup call fwding profiles on the phone but that involves the user having to press more buttons to set this up.  Plus, it does not allow them to visually see who the calls are being forwarded to with lamps that are lit up.

Hi All -

I would like to take a phone that has 6 listed names that call forward to cell phones.  I would like the lamp to light up so the end user knows who the calls are being forwarded to.  This DID will then change to a new key/employee each month.  I tried messing around with user speed calls and call forwarding always under "Line Type" but that does not do what I need.  I know I am messing some steps here and that's why I am reaching out.  The below video is what I am looking for but this appears to be some 3rd party software that is not Mitel...

Hi, All -

Going to change things up based on your replies.

DID fwded to ring group 3299.

I want to tie ring group 3299 to a physical phone and use speed call fwding buttons.  How can I make a desk phone have prime service for a ring group?
