Mitel Software Applications / WSM3 replacement procedure
« on: November 11, 2019, 07:12:01 AM »
Hi Guys,

We have a WSM3 deployed for a customer which has a fault and we are in the process of replacing the unit.
Does anyone know the process for migrating the license from the faulty unit to the replacement unit? The fault unit has the Standard licence not the default Basic.
The web page we go to to activate a license does not have an option to transfer/migrate a license from one module to another!

Any help would be appreciated.

I ran into something like this and could not get the MiCollab client to try and connect to anything other that the true server name. The customer could not do split dns for this, even though I changed MiCollab Service setting and the deployment profile, the client still used the true server name. Miyel tech support said that it can't be changed although I'm of the opinion it can. I my situation, I made them use another name internally for admin purposes. This may help
Thanks Johnp, We do have split DNS active here and internally it does resolve to the LAN IP & externally to the WAN IP. It does seem strange if this is not possible especially where you can choose a custom FQDN in the Config host option of the deployment profile
I have logged this with our distributor (useless) but at least it should get to Mitel support at some point for a definitive answer!

Your certificates arnt matching the server name/FQDN, you will need a new one

The site uses a wildcard certificate for the domain boycey9

Hope one of you Guru's can assist with my issue  ;D

Our customer has requested we use a different FQDN to the actual FQDN of the server for security reasons. We have created this and external DNS check resolves to the WAN IP of the MiCollab/MBG successfully. In MiCollab client deployment profile we have set the Config download host to Custom and entered the new FQDN. Within the MiCollab's MBG we have added the new FQDN to the MiCollab client connector. In MiCollab/MBG/settings/SIP options we have added this FQDN to allowed URL names.
When we run the diagnostic test all tests pass with the exception of the last one "Connection test from public internet to MiCollab Client Service" which fails with "ERROR: queryA ENOTFOUND". This relates to the FQDN not being resolvable from the internet but it clearly is.
The MiCollab mobile client when run simply shows "cannot connect to the server"
If I change the server name to be the same as the new FQDN then all works fine

Any ideas?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Audiocodes MP-118 ATA & Fax via SIP query
« on: November 19, 2014, 04:51:32 AM »
Has anyone had any experience with using Audiocodes MP-1XX series ATA's with a virtual MCD using SIP Trunks.
We are unable to get the majority of Fax's connected via them to send or receive faxes.
We have followed the guides from the Sip CoE document without success.
If you have used a different ATA with success then let me know also please.

Any help is appreciated

We have a hosted MiVoice Business 7.0 using Gamma SIP trunks through a physical MBG for  serviced offices. One of the users off this system has a fax machine connected via an Audiocodes MP-118 ATA and is intermittently unable to either send or receive faxes. After numerous tests and changes with both Mitel & Audiocodes we have agreed that the fax is simply not compatible
Can anyone recommend an All-In-One fax machine which is SIP compatible in this scenario?

Thanks for the info.
I have seen the document but you need to add different figures depending on the current state. I was looking for a general figure from experience.

Mitel Software Applications / Bandwidth usage on UCA Sip phone client
« on: July 09, 2014, 06:21:42 AM »
Hi All,
Does anyone know what the typical Bandwidth usage is for a UCA SIP phone client on an Android or IOS device. HD Video may be used internally?
Our company will be introducing the scenario with approx. 150+ mobile users connecting via their wireless LAN infrastructure.

Mitel Software Applications / UCA Status Change Failed issue
« on: February 20, 2014, 07:19:43 AM »
Hello all,

I am in need of advice here. We have an intermittent issue with UCA clients being unable to change their status. The receive a notification box of "Status Change Failed". If they then try to log off the client and back on they are unable to re-connect. MAS can be pinged and browsed to successfully during this period from the affected desktop.
They are running MAS 5.0.47 and the MCD is 12.0.0.49
The UCA apps are running on Wise clients using RDS. MAS & MCD are on the same subnet also
