I finally got our dealer involved and after opening the issue with Mitel, there is no way to export a working configuration file after you've set up a phone to the point you feel good about it.  I'll be submitting a request for product enhancement on this point.  Again, just seems logical that if you can create a configuration file and you can 'import' a configuration file...by golly you should be able to export one as well.

TLDR:  My question has been answered in the negative by Mitel.

I'm pretty sure I'm misunderstanding something, so bear with me.  An external caller would need to have dialed something to ring your PBX...a DID. 

You should then be able to direct that DID to ring a particular phone or group of phones without issue.

A NON-DID, by definition, does not receive calls from outside the PBX.

If you have a SIP circuit and a Mitel Border Gateway, I do believe you could set a rule whereby a specific incoming calling party number would route to a particular controller....though the only thing I have ever set up is a sort of "Black list" where I send those specific incoming numbers to a controller that doesn't exist, but I imagine the reverse is certainly possible.

SIP On Mitel / Mitel 6905 configuration files

Hello all,

I have created a TFTP server and successfully transitioned Mitel 6905 sets from MINET to SIP in order to utilize some Single Line licensing available on my system.  My problem is that I will be replacing loads of actual analog sets with the Mitel 6905s running in SIP mode to, again, utilize those licenses...however, having to use the individual phone's web UI to manually set things like the NTP server, speed dials and other various bits and bops I'd like to use a configuration file.  More specifically...I'd like to know if there's a way to export the completed configuration of one set that has been updated to a state acceptable for my users.  I am fully and painfully aware that I can create a configuration file, but I'm not at all comfortable doing so.  It just seemed logical to me that I'd be able to export or save a configuration already existing.  These SIP phones are loaded with SIP version 6.2 and will be deployed on MiVB systems running 9.2.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Grrr... Missed the 200 EOL announcement. That one has made it a long time, it was the first system I got certified on in 1991... Kind of hoped it would last as long as I did but I still have at least 15 years and it obviously isn't going to make it. lol

And just bid one for a hotel too...

My first was the SX2000, and I wasn't certified until 2002 or so....  Even worked on SG cabinets as well when I was a technician working for Mitel.  But always...always hated the sx200s and the 200ICP.

Good morning all!

As in the subject line I have a question regarding a specific command and was wondering if anyone has the same issue or, perhaps a resolution.  What I notice is that on my machines (40 of them) if I run the "LOGSYS READ SMDR ALL" command from maintenance, the machines start spitting out the data requested...so far, so good.  When I then issue the "LOGSYS CANCEL" command, however, the machines keep scrolling the SMDR data and do not stop.  I can't say definitively that I've seen this on all 40, but I've encountered this several times.  It's frustrating to say the least...

I'm usually accessing them via Firefox 78.0.2 (I know its not the latest but its a work PC and they only push/allow certain things).  I will try from Chrome and IE just to be doubly sure, but I can't imagine the browser has much to do with it.

Anyone else?

What I like to do:

In "ARS Routes"

the very last route is 200, I assign this route to TDM Trunk Group 99 with a COR group number of 64.

Trunk Group 99 doesn't actually exist.

Class Of Restriction Group 64 = 1-96 (ie: every class of restriction number)

So, in my switches:

ARS Digits Dialed
918005551212 = Route 200
ARS Routes
Route 200= TDM Trunk Group 99:  COR Group Number 64
Class of Restriction Groups
64= Classes of Restriction for Group is 1-96

That should do it.  "ACCESS DENIED" should read across sets with a display.

After the reboot, the usage numbers did return to normal...for a time.  They are starting to build up again without resetting to 0, at least that's the only way to account for this.

There's just no way it's possible for Route 9 to have 1 peg and more than 7000 Erlangs.

Using the Erlang formula that would be 1 (peg count) multiplied by the average call hold time X (as we don't know this value) divided by 3600 (seconds in an hour) should = 7000 (rounding way down)

That would mean the 1 single call was on the phone for *drum roll*....  25.2 MILLION seconds.

?  I'm so confused.

I can account for the 0.20 in outgoing, and attribute the 0.01 on incoming to three very short calls on the MSDN link...  but the more than 7700?  Nope.  I've rebooted this particular controller and have seen the usage numbers restored to normal levels, I will be watching to see if the numbers start to creep.  I'm thinking that maybe the usage stat is adding up over time instead of resetting and recalculating per hour.

So I've run some traffic reports and I'm noticing something strange...  strange to the point of being completely baffling.  I will admit that my ability to read these logs as they should be read pretty well stops at looking at peg counts, trunk numbers and potential killer trunks.  I attempted to wrap my feeble mind around erlangs and have come well short.  That said, I'm very well sure that the numbers I'm going to show you, shouldn't be happening.  The thing is...I don't know how or why they are happening.  I'm attaching herein for expert review a several hours span of traffic files.  I'm paying special attention to the "Routes" section and the usage.  Specifically routes 8 and 9. 

Route 8 = calls to extension 2800 (our voicemail system)
Route 9 = calls to #4 + 5 to follow (ex: #426195) (This routes internal callers directly to a voicemail box greeting, bypassing actually calling an extension and being forwarded to 2800)

The peg counts seem about right and can be easily proven with SMDR.  It's the usage numbers that just don't jive for me.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel Streamline (Phybridge) internal clock issues

I have two 24 port Streamline units.  I have noted a similar problem in both and just want to confirm whether or not anyone else is having the same issue:

I have an NTP server on the network and both Streamlines configured to get the time from it.  The problem is when I navigate to the "Admin" tab and then to "Logs" I can clearly see that both of my Streamline units are out of sync with the NTP...they know that they are out of sync, there are logs detailing exactly how much they are out of sync, but the units fail to ever actually update the system time.

Here is a snippet of the log:

Even though the logs state it is adjusting the the local clock, it clearly is NOT as a few minutes later the time has continued to slip.  Can anyone confirm a similar issue with NTP on a Streamline?

It's really not too bad, my users won't likely have an IP phone and a DNIC on their desks to compare.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Time displayed on 5360 vs ss4025

I have a controller with both an IP phone 5360 and a superset 4025 configured.  Both of these sets are on my desk.

The controller is set up with an NTP server on our network.  READDATETIME shows me the correct time on the controller.  The SuperSet 4025 shows the exact same time. 

HOWEVER, my 5360 is about 40-45 seconds behind on the time.  Rebooting the ip phone doesn't appear to make any difference.

Any suggestions on how I can get all of my phones, regardless of type, to display the same SNTP governed time?
