Mitel will only support SRC on a standalone MBG

Having both SIP and SRC on same box can cause problems with speech on recorded calls
Can you explain how it can cause problems? correct me if i am wrong but the ports and interfaces used will be different as far as i know.

It will be LAN mode, there is no connection to any external PABX or IP phone. The only external link will be with the SIP provider. But i guess that can configured in LAN mode since i saw an option to override the interface address for SIP trunks. We have 4 network interfaces on that server.

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to run 2 services : SIP proxy and SRC over the same MBG server. According to MBG documentation it is possible, but according to regional Mitel support office it should not be done this way because its not  the common practice.

I have to install it on single server because we are running low on server space inside the rack.
Any thoughts?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP trunks, NNI or UNI ?
« on: December 24, 2013, 06:24:52 PM »
Hello,
New to Mitel/VOIP world. We have a 3300 MXe installed at a site. Client is installing SIP trunks and service provider specifically asked for full compatibility with NNI protocol.
I have no idea what protocol does mitel follow but according to official mitel statement through regional support they don't support NNI.
Service provider will be using CISCO 3925 router as termination point.
My question is: is there anyway to make it work with mitel 3300 mxe in present scenario ?
