IT WORKS.    thanks

there were 2 issues
To make the UC360 work on the mitel 5000 I had to do a software upgrade from 59.167.164.52
The username had to be the extension number, thanks marc

I'm new to mitel
I am trying to set up a UC360 Collaboration point onto a Mitel 5000 system v6.0.9  The system is set for static IP and this is the only SIP device . I am getting registration failed  message.
on the UC360 I have the controller IP as server address
user name and login name is um360
login password is 12345678
transport UDP is ticked
all else is blank
IP address is static 192.168.1.130, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.1 gateway

On the Mitel 5000
Phones> created sip user 1030 named it um360 password 12345678
SIP phone group> P9001 has extension 1030 in it
an IP address 192.168.1.130
port 5060
Users>  i set up extension 1030 with a user name of um360  password 12345678

What have I done wrong ( IP phone works at the socket)
