I don't necessarily have to, I guess. It's just an unfamiliar piece of hardware that I don't need. If I can figure out how to set the TW PW I could leave it in place.

Is it possible that you're not getting a CO disconnect signal from Telco?

I have a customer that purchased a 3300 from another vendor and asked me to replace it with a 5000. They have offices in three different cities working from their PBX. Because I know nothing about the 3300, I guessed that I could swap it out with the 5000 and as long as I had the mac addresses for all their phones I could get the remote phones to come up. I was right! Everything came up fine and worked flawlessly until I had to add another off-site phone. During the process of figuring out what the "TW install PW" prompt I was getting on the phone display, I discovered that there was a Teleworker Gateway Server on the network that their WAN IP was directed to. Obviously, I need to remove this hardware from the environment, but have no idea what differences in ports the TW Gateway uses vs. the 5000.

Can anyone help me with a road-map for this process? The customer is using a mix of 5340, 5330, and 5312 phones.

I actually just got the problem solved. I isolated the 5000 I couldn't log into from the network and voila! There was an IP conflict that occurred after the two systems were connected that didn't take down the telephone IP connection but prevented me from establishing a db programming session. I changed the IP address on the 5000, cursed the IT guy, and now everything is fine.

I cannot help with your original question of 3300 vs. 5000 as I don't know anything about the 3300, but I may be able to help with the underlying issue of making some making Panasonic cordless phones work on your 5000. I did something like that with an Inter Tel Axxess system once. Could you maybe be a little more specific with what you're trying to accomplish and include model numbers?

New member here, I've searched for anyone who has had the same trouble and couldn't find anything, so sorry if this has been covered before.

Here is my situation: I have two 5000's IP networked together. They were two locations networked with VPN, but after a move to a new building on one side of the network, they are now networked over a wireless radio bridge and are, therefore, now on the same subnet. The network seems to be working fine and we have traffic between the systems, but now I cannot establish a programming session on the system that has a new IP address. I have edited the connection properties in system administration and diagnostics, and I can ping the system and reach it with a browser. Both systems are version 4.0.3.108. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
