The error message (as you can see in the first attachment) has to be coming from the Mitel system, or atleast the web page.

I am adding the phone in the same way I've always added them. for some reason i've gotten to this point and it's stopped allowing it. There is not a DHCP server active for this vlan it's a simple subnet as you can see in the attachments.

All the phones I have set up have been done through the web page.

Like I said earlier, I'm a Mitel novice. I'm more of a Network Administrator. The notes I'm following are quite old:

1. Login to 3300 (10.96.31.5) (Use Web Browser)
   a. Select System Administration Tool
   b. Update MAC address in System Configuration/Devices/IP Telephones/Single Line Sets/Single Line IP Set Configuration
   c. Update MAC address in System Configuration/IP Configuration/DHCP/DHCP Static IP

The best way I could see to add a phone would be to add a new entry in both of these places, and that has worked up until now.

I appreciate your guys help!

I assume this is what you're talking about. I guess nothing is entered in there. but I'm not using DHCP, I would like to keep everything addressed using static addresses.

wasnt sure whether you meant in the mitel system or on our network in general.

here's what i can find in the mitel system reguarding subnets.

I am a novice user of this system, about all I know how to do is add phones.

I am the client as well  ;D

I have that system subnetted on it's own vlan. It should have up to 255 addresses.

Right now I have 50 items as static addresses.

Hey everyone,

I've been trying to add a few new phones to our 3300 ICP.

Using the same method I've used in the past, we use static addresses for all of our phones out there. when I go to add the address it errors out and tells me there is "no more room". I thought it was a licensing issue, but it seems I have 10 unused licesnses right now.

Any information that would help rectify this situation would be helpful.

Thanks,
Joel

I checked the Class of Service section and the new phones were different COS than the old so I changed them to match the older phones, did not seem to make a difference. I also just checked the telephone directory and the privacy box was unchecked.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, is there anything else that could be causing the display to act like it is?

Where/how do I get to the Class of Service section?

Thanks,

Hey Everyone! First time poster here. I'm hoping you guys can shed some light on some configuration options for me.

I've inherited our current phone situation we have at my workplace. I have minimal knowledge of older phone systems in general. Just to give you guys a brief overview of what we have running our phones here.

Siemens Phone switch, Spectralink Wireless Phones, and a Mitel system.

I don't know much about the Mitel systems and all the phone configuration on the Siemens switch is done by a guy at the Corporate office.

We have a 3300 universal NSU and a 3300 Controller, these are connected to each other via fiber jumper. The connection to the network is coming from the NSU I believe.

The system is working fine, we've gotten to the point that we're expanding and needing to add new phones, and I can do that successfully. The main models we run are 5201IP and the newer ones we just bought are 5212's.

My question is, all of the older phones display their extension on caller ID when calling someone internally(all of the mitel phones are internal phones and cannot dial out) however, the new phones are all displaying "Mitel PRI" as the name associated with the extension. I've looked all through the System Configuration options and tried to compare the older phone configurations to the new configurations with no avail. How do I change what these phones display??

Thanks for the help and time of reading this jumbled mess, but I wanted to make sure everyone had details.

-Joel
