Solved,

Should of spotted this earlier.


the guy who set up the vlan interfaces on our Cisco cat switch has used a wrong subnet mask.  The vlan range was 172.18.98.0/23  98.1 to 99.254  For our voice vlan

The vlan interface was configured as 172.18.99.252/24

When the 3300 controller was arping for any addresses in 172.18.98.0 /23 range it considered them to be in a different subnet  and sent the request to the hrsp default gateway address 172.18.99.254 ( default Behavoir in address is considered on a diff subnet)

HSRP active interface repsonded  with its mac address ( proxy arp) This address was already in the arp cache on the controller as the default gateway address causing the alert to be generated.


Sicne changing the Cisco  cat voice vlan  interface to the correct subnet mask the controller can send arp request to the entire /23 range.

 
No more pesky duplicate ip conflict messages.

WE have two cisco switches configured with hsrp redundancy for our vlans.


0000.0c07.ac02  is the  HSRP virtual gateway mac address for our phone system vlan

Could any one help me figure out why our 3300 is complaining about duplicate ip addressing even though there isn't any conflicts

One of those computers has MAC address 08:00:0f:54:ac:b8. If this IP is used by
the Mitel RTC card, E2T card, a phone or router, there may be disruption in telephone service.

Good morning folks.


I have a couple of uses that are being prompted for a pin code.

the pin request prompt occurs once the user changes the action button from logged off to log on.

No pin codes have been set on the system at  all.

I am looking at the option you suggested.

so given the extension 111

how do i using the 1st alternative form page on the mitel mcd  to ensure that  if 111 is busy away on dnd the call with route to hunt group 529

i see no reference on the form page that correlates to any extension.

i have added an attachment of the relevant form.

Hi,

firstly i have  little if any experience on the mitel phone platform so apologies if my question seems trivial.

I have department serveral users that are currently complaining that when customers call and they are either on the phone or away from desk or in dnd.
the caller recieves a out of service recorded message.

was wondering how i can set up call the phone system to route the caller back into the hunt group number 529

example extenstions

*777 = manager extention. ( would ideally like calls to fall through to him/her if no one picks or is busy /dnd.

any help guidance appreciated.

Good morning,


I have been tasked with providing some ip phones at our remote office i have set up all the routing and end to end connectivity exists from a ping perspective.



Could any one advise on what ports i would need to have open on the firewall to allow a 5312 ip phone to register with our 3300 controller and to make and recieve calls.

Any advise greatly appreciated.

the issue was resolved by deleting and re-creating the users.

Not exactly the best solution but its fixed.

good morning folks,


some of our softphone users are unable to login in to the contact centre manager via thier client app.



i am new ip telephony and mitel etc.

our set up is basically as follows.

two 3300 controllers.

Sever running contact centre manager.

users connecting to the 3300 via contact centre client.

Attached is screen shot showing the errror our users are recieving,
