Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Upgrading 4.1 SP2
« on: February 11, 2016, 04:31:24 AM »
Thanks for the inputs appreciated.
And continued work on the subject, seems to be arbitrarily unfortunately.
MCD is located on a different subnet.
Tried to push down an older software in FTP, 4.1> 7.0 SP 1 instead
for 7.2. No issue. I changed it back and tried again
then I got the warning incompatible sw loads of MIVB consoles and 5550 consoles.
As known.

Do not feel completely 100 when it is different subnets.
The computer's firewall is anyway not the cause, in my brain.

To be sure, I will ask the customer if it is possible to be on the same subnet. Which I think may be the cause.
In addition to the intermittent symptoms so I suspect that the upgrade may take longer
time when there are separate subnets, many phones will have new firmware ....

Do you share that view?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Upgrading 4.1 SP2

Symptom
When using the software installer to upgrade a 4.1 sp2 load the upgrades stuck on "unable to retrieve the specific file"
Checking ftpserver logs and _swrev is the problem !
Using filezilla server.

Looking around i find in troubleshooting 4.x pdf it refers to Mitel Knowledge Base article. 07-4409-00026
Cant find it in mol.

Anyone got a solution, or have the pdf ?
Putty manual install, or ftp to controller, patching ?

It is standard behavior that a call directed to an ACD agent that doesn't get answered is re-queued and presented to the next free or idle ACD agent. If you are asking if the call can be held until that first ACD agent ( who didn't answer ) is free then the answer is no.
I asked if its possible to get callback to original transferdestination (Agent A) when incoming external call transfers fr.o.m. Agent A to an extension. Now its arrives to Agent B when ext not answers.

Hi, My customer using acd express group.
When recall on no answer the transferred call arrives to another acd agent.
The acd agent wants to get the call back to original destination, when idle.
Possible ?

Take a look at the security settings of the MBG. We had a similar issue for a customer when a tech had allowed ssh from all subnets.
Okey, checking tomorrow. I think ssh is allowed fr.o.m. all subnets.  :o
Deactivated ssh in mas server no change.

Triyng inc call to two statuses with different prg.
If using à status with sending calls to cellphone and sphone.
The cellphone ehdu rings not sip sphone.

In the eng gl for uca i read this.

UC Advanced Engineering Guidelines Server/Gateway Mode (when co-resident with MAS) In a server/gateway mode, as in Figure 3, the UCA server (as part of MAS) sits directly on both the Company LAN and the WAN. Even though UCA is directly accessible on the network to teleworker users in this configuration, the MBG application must be configured to support RTP traffic used by remote soft phones.

Figure 6 shows all the different ports UCA requires when all the other servers shown in the figure are in the same LAN network and the UCA Clients are connecting via the MBG. Use this as a reference to determine what ports to open in the firewall when there is one between the UCA server and any of the other servers and clients shown

Does it mean to add a portforward in msl with source udp 30250 and above ??? to ip pbx with dest ports udp 1024 and above ??? using snat on or off ?
It should call the sip sphone without this using port 5060 in My head.
Time to submit à ticket and send a log using wireshark ?
Im lost.
